Meadowlark
Is there such a thing? I'm looking for something for my 3rd and 4th graders...and really don't want to spend a fortune. If there's a really good one that is reasonable, I'm open to that too.

Matryoshka
BBC Dance Mat is the perfect starting point.
susie
Someone mentioned typingclub.com in another post. I've briefly tried it myself and my 3rd grade son did the first few lessons today. We haven't delved into it much yet but it's FREE! Seems easy enough to follow and it's FREE! :hurray:

Vintage81
Another vote for typing.com. My 1st and 3rd grade DDs have found it easy to use. There's nothing super fancy about it, but it's effective.
Jackie
Typing.com is boring but effective. BurningCargo.com is slower for learning, but a ton of fun. DD worked through the basic lessons on typing.com and then moved on to Burning Cargo.
domestic_engineer
Nitrotype.com for practice once you've gone through the basic instruction from another program.
kristin0713
We used Mickey's Typing Adventure in the fall. My 5th grader breezed through the program withing a month or so and my 3rd grader with no prior typing skills has learned to type very well. We tried a free trial of the web based version and found it really glitchy. I bought the download with a coupon, and it came out to around $20. It was totally worth it. EmilyGF
BBC Dance Mat Typing and Typing We did these in this order and it worked great I actually had looked for a not free one because I wanted one that was complete - only to realize that the free ones are so good that there aren't really any competitive paid ones.
