Backpack Purses?

Do you have one you love? Would you mind posing a link for me? I am trying to decide what to get in the way of a new handbag after refusing to carry a purse since the diaper bag was retired. :) It's been many years since I shopped for one.

I use a small purse from Walmart with a long enough strap that I can wear it cross-body.

 

I've tried backpack purses and found it to be a royal pain to slip out of one of the straps every time I needed something from the purse. Turns out I need things from my purse All The Time.

 

I love a cross-body purse. Best of all worlds. My hands are free and I can get to the bag really fast.

I love purses but I just got this backpack and I'm pretty sure I won't be carrying a purse anytime soon. The pocket placement is great, it's comfortable and just the right size. I haven't tried to put my MacBook in yet so I'm not sure if it'll be good when I start grad school.

I have rounded shoulders and don't do great with cross body or slings, although I prefer them.

I love anything Disney and Dooney & Burke. Right now the Haunted Mansion bag is my favorite to carry around. It holds my IPad Pro also along with keys, sunglasses, wallet, phone, etc. Plus, it can get wet.

One thing I love about the sling bag is that I don't have to take it off to use it. I can slide it around to my side, unzip it to get my wallet, and then slide it back around when I'm done. This is the only sling bag I own so I can't answer for other ones but I don't have any problem with it slipping off. I do have problems with regular bags slipping from my shoulder which is why I always carry crossover bags or my sling bag.

OP, Kipling has some cute, lightweight backpack purses.

 

If I have to go fairly far (like walking at Disney World or around town for a while) I wear it cross body.  Otherwise, I just wear it on one shoulder (like going just a little ways from my car to my office, etc...)

 

You are NOT too old!  But they do have options, the cross body bag has the same types of ropes, and I have thought of getting one of those too.

I have one that I love from Henri Bendel.  Actually it is a convertible bag.  The straps adjust to make it a purse, crossbody, or backpack.  It comes in two sizes and a bunch of different colors.

I have read that that particular bag has had some issues with the lining ripping.  People are saying it isn't as well made as the others.

 

My friend has 3 of them, not the HM one though.
