Mrs. Y
I was wondering if any of you who happen to still have the good old Elijah Co catalogs would care to share any of the titles of what they offered for different subjects??? My olders were almost too young to have really paid that much attention to the middle school/jr high suggestions and then they stopped printing the catalog. I remember I liked how matter-of-fact, common sense they were. I did read some of the books they recommended for parents. Didn't they sell Mary Hood and Ruth Beechick books? Oh, those were the days. :)
TechWife
That was a wonderful catalog! I, too, wished I had one when we got to the high school years. I hope you are able to find one.
marbel
Oh wow, I think I just got rid of mine a few months ago. I held on to that thing for a long time... I hope you find one!
Seasider
Just posted this link in that other thread about bygone home school trends: https://simplycharlottemason.com/scmforum/topic/elijah-company-catalog/
Mrs. Y
Thanks, seasider! Via your link I did find this link: http://chrisdavisrecommends.com/ Chris Davis was the Elijah Co guy and here he lists stuff like he had in the catalog.
HRAAB
Elijah Company was my favorite catalog when I first started homeschooling; it was like my homeschooling bible. I saved the catalogs but finally went through all my homeschooling material several years ago and threw them away.
ScoutTN
Many of the articles that Chris and Ellyn Davis, who were the Elijah Company, wrote were published in a book called "I Saw the Angel in the Marble."
El...
Oh! That's interesting. I got that book for Christmas. They were very, very "old (home) school". Their book is definitely making me think.

Another Lynn
I was crushed to hear that Chris and Ellyn had divorced. How sad. Recently? ETA: Found a reference to this around 2007. I was just surprised because Homeschool Marketplace seems to be both of them. Edited March 24, 2016 by Another Lynn
