barnwife Posted January 12, 2016 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Today was the day we'd told our 5yo would be his first day of kindergarten. It started off well. We did math and an art project. Then we headed out to a playgroup where they got free play, play-doh time, and other fun stuff. We came home, had lunch, and did writing practice.And then DH let me know that one of our goats was really, really sick. We'd known she was off, but DH realized this morning she was much worse than we thought. He brought her in the house. I am so glad we were with her at the end.How in the world did I get so attached to a goat that I didn't even want to get? Thankfully the two younger kids are mostly oblivious and the oldest is handing it well so far.Needless to say, we decided to postpone our first formal phonics lesson until another day.
