mooooom
I work w/ a man who is getting married next week. I'm guessing he is in his early sixties, the woman he is marrying is almost 20 years younger. He is a widow. They are getting married next week, very quietly, no party or fuss. I would like to do something for them - but something that isn't a big deal, nothing monetary or fussy. Just some kind of small acknowledgement. I don't know them that well, but I've worked w/ him for a year and have met her multiple times and had nice chats. Any ideas?
Just Me
How about a nice photo album for their new, shared memories?
Kareni
Perhaps a flowering plant? a selection of teas? a candle? some fingertip towels? a magazine subscription? or just a card with a sincere wish for their future happiness! Regards, Kareni
MeanestMomInMidwest
The mall in a neighboring town has a store that has personalized gifts & will personalize while you wait. From small things like paperweights with name/date engraved to picture frames and afghans (I think these take longer to personalize). They range in price & size. They also have light catchers & ornaments to personalize. I forget what the name of the store is (I rarely go to the mall) but we used it for a baptism gift. Mom to Aly
I thought of personalized picture frame or clock (some have space for picture as well, on second side), or album as well.
photomo
I also say a nice photo frame or a nice photo album. It doesn't even have to be a wedding album but just a nice photo album so they can start putting photo's in it from their new life together. Mama Geek
If they don't mind alcohol, how about a nice bottle of champagne?
KristinaBreece
:spam: reported. By the way, I've been waiting for a reason to use that smilie. ETA: I second the idea of a personalized album or bottle of wine or champagne, maybe with personalized glasses.
LaxMom
I second the picture frame. Me, too. That is the favorite token wedding gift here.

JFSinIL
I get decent, silver 5x7 photo frames at Kohls for just such gift-giving.
photomo
This thread is 3 years old.:lol: LOL seriously how did I see this if it was 3 years old. I wasn't doing a search and wasn't way into the threads. Usually If I'm off here for a few days I maybe go over 20 pages. This cracks me up :)
