MissKNG
You stab that roasted red potato chunk (or whatever you are eating), you put it into your mouth then what??? How do you get that chunk of food off of your fork and into your mouth?? A poll just for kicks!!
Cindy in FL.
A combo, without letting my teeth make that scraping sound on the fork of course! I hate that sound.
Crimson Wife
Where's the "combo of lips, teeth, and tongue" option? The tongue is definitely involved!
Amethyst
Yes, I agree that the tongue is definitely involved, but I answered the poll assuming that lips only meant no scraping of the fork with the teeth.
LostSurprise
Too complicated to answer the poll. Teeth only with a lift back by the tongue, unless it's very soft (like ice cream). If it's liquid or near liquid I'll involve the lips but not the teeth. Then the teeth hang around all embarrassed like they should be doing something and half motioning to do it themselves. Awkward. TrixieB
Without making that horrible scraping of teeth against fork! I cannot stand that sound.
KrissiK
I really have no idea. But with my oldest son, he stabs it with the fork, then takes it off with his fingers and puts it in his mouth. His concession to our demands that he actually use silverware.

fdrinca
My husband ONLY does teeth and it drives me crazy. Luckily, the four kids are noisy enough to keep me from hearing it most days now. I can see me cracking in 40 years, just the two of us at the dinner table. I was actually afraid to open this thread for fear that it's more common/appropriate to use teeth. I'd hate to live in that world.
MissKNG
My tongue doesn't assist in pulling the food off the actual fork. I paid close attention today. It cradles the food into my mouth after I pull the food off with my lips and teeth.
