Night Elf
My grandmother gifted me and my kids a cash Christmas gift. Is it okay to write one thank you note rather than each of us doing a separate one?
happi duck
I vote separate even if it was one check. If everyone is getting their own money they can say what they are saving for/buying or a general thank you. If you are using the money for a group gift each can still do a chatty note and a 'I've always wanted a trampline'...or whatever...
happi duck
If you do one note I would have everyone sign it with their own few words of thanks. Kind of like when an office signs one card but everyone jots something.
Kareni
I vote for separate notes (or separate contributions to one letter) so that each can comment on what they purchased and express their appreciation. Regards, Kareni
Ellie
Each person who receives a gift is responsible to write his own thank-you note. :-)
AlmiraGulch
Separate. Always.
BYE
Was the gift in one envelope? I would only write one and maybe have everyone sign it.
Miss Peregrine
We use one card and everyone writes their own sentiment.
zoobie
Was it a lump sum or each person got a card and cash? I'd probably still have each person write a thank you in the card, just to make it personal. My grandparents are not formal people, and they love it when the kids send a thank you video or something like hand drawn pictures. I think your kids are older though... (On phone). datgh
I would do a thank you note from each of you or at least a note all in the same card. It would make your grandmothers day!
Night Elf
Her gifts were in separate Christmas cards, one for each of us. I think I'll have each of us write a separate card and mail them together in one envelope. That was how she sent the cards. Thanks ladies. :)
QueenCat
Each writes their own note. Even for a singular gift. I do put them in the same envelope.
