Yesterday afternoon we cleaned the whole house, and dh raked up the leaves that had fallen since Friday. I cooked a brisket low and slow all night so all I have to do for dinner are the sides and BBQ it. We have lots of school to accomplish this week, and ds has and orthodontist appointment this afternoon. On the way home I'll hit Costco and that should be it for the week. :) The usual things to do here.... vacuum first floor wipe down kitchen make sure everything is put away, nice and tidy Hope you guys have a lovely start to your week! Tress...enjoy your fall break! I am! I am! It's amazing how much more relaxed the day is, when you do not have to push and cajole the kids into getting dressed on time etc. I'm halfway through making an applepie. I only need to clean the bathroom and then I can read, read, read :D.
MamaAkins
Oh my! I think you need some more smileys, like: :svengo: :w00t:   :leaving: . Tress, don't worry, we do it with lots of help from other members of our church. We've helped with it for about 8-10 years, but this is our first time being in charge of all the food. (Another member is in charge of the delivery routes and drivers). It will make for a very busy November for us!
Tress
Halfway through making the applepie, I discovered that the kids had eaten all the raisins. And I realised that one pie wasn't enough. Quick grocery trip to buy more apples and raisins. Apple pie finished. Tomorrow I will bake the second one. Now wrapping gifts. Still haven't read my book ;). Jean in Newcastle
Endoscopy is rescheduled. If you are inclined, I'd appreciate some prayers that I get better. Dd asked me last night: "Mom, why is it that when ds and I got the cold, we just had the sniffles for a few days. You got it from us and you are so terribly sick." There's a cascade thing happening here. A cold/virus means no CPAP. No CPAP means oxygen deprivation and less restorative sleep. Oxygen deprivation/less sleep means difficulty getting better. swellmomma
Quick check in between tasks. Back from the afterschool care. Orientation done, shifts start tomorrow when we get back from the city. Banking done. Finn dropped off at pet sitter. Trying to get the kids to cooperate and put on clean clothes and pack an overnight bag so we can hit the road which we will hopefully be doing in the next 20 minutes or so.
