Desert Rat
Thank you! I just threw mine in the fridge. I made it earlier today for the first time!
kubiac
I see what this is. This is a conspiracy to make me go put my pie in the fridge and finally clean up the kitchen, isn't it? :leaving:
SJ.
Not usually, maybe I should!

TexasRachel
We decided seeing as how it has eggs it should be refrigerated. But now I'm thinking it's cooked so it might be good? Mine are all in the fridge anyways.

BugsMama
My husband and I were bickering about this last night, LOL I guess neither of us are "right". I said yes because it is dairy based with all that cream. He said no.
Julie in CA
Yep. Mine goes in the fridge, always. Technically, a pumpkin pie is a cooked custard, like pudding or creme brulee. As such, it goes in the fridge, just like I would with pudding. I'm not particularly uptight, but this one makes more people sick than is probably realized, so better safe than sorry! Slartibartfast
Yes, it belongs in the fridge. I don't think anyone would expire from eating pumpkin pie left out overnight but I would stick in fridge if you have leftovers. Pawz4me
Yes. Although I'd never thought of it from an "is it safe not to" standpoint. We do it because we prefer our pumpkin pie to be cold.
