1. Get off my butt.

2. Switch laundry.

3. Stare aimlessly around bedroom and cry about where to start.

4. Do *something* in my bedroom.

5. Clean the kitchen while crying that my bedroom will never be done.

I don't know if this is helpful, but when my room gets out of control, I make the bed first. My mom taught me this, and I still begin cleaning my room with a freshly made bed. That alone always makes the room look so much better, and it puts me in a good mood for some reason. Then I work on little areas at a time until it's all done. Cleaning my room is my least favorite chore, except for dishes. I loathe washing dishes.

I do the same...except this time it's not just messy. I moved the kids out of my room and into their own, so all the stuff that came out of those 2 rooms are now dumped in my room and the hallway. :(

Eta: we do not have a basement or attic for the "stuff." All stuff needs a home.

:grouphug: I think I get it. I have all of Babygirl's toys and stuff in my room, along with all the other things we moved into this house that hasn't found a home yet. She doesn't have a room, so I'm going to have to figure out a permanent solution to her stuff until she is old enough to move in with one of the kids upstairs. The other stuff is just depressing, but I have dealt with it little by little over the past few months. I still have a huge box of pictures, frames, cameras, photo albums, etc. that I've been putting off since we moved. Then there's the study/library. I get anxious walking into that room, because I have so much to sort, purge and put away. It is just chaos right now.

1. Wait for water to come back on today.

2. Take care of the children and feed them finger foods all day (since dishes can't be done without water AND I'm the intelligent person that only has 4 place settings because I don't want lots of dishes...:tongue_smilie:)

3. Clean like crazy once the water comes back on.

All of my cleaning revolves around water. I have no water except to drink or make bottles for the babies. I miss water. *sob* You don't really realize how much you actually use it until you don't have it.

Are you suggesting I'm supposed to be doing more than sitting here with the computer in my lap?? ;)

Okay, okay... later I will:

Clean the kitchen

Vacuum the main floor

Go down and play Wii with the boys because my son is BEGGING me (I'm not a gamer, LOL)

Finish getting school plan ready for the week

Fold some laundry

Figure out something for dinner and cook it! :D

Oh, and read... I have to remind myself to sit and read my own books for fun lately, LOL

But for now, I'm having one more cup of coffee and sitting here a little longer...

We-ell, yesterday's plan was to clean, and then I was going to work on crafts that I'm selling at a craft fair in October today.

Yeah. The cleaning did not happen yesterday, but I'm half-heartedly doing it today. We have to go to dh's cousin's house this evening for Rosh Hashanah, so I'm not in a real cleaning zone today.

So far, in between hanging out at the computer, I've:

1. Fixed my coffee table- the bottom shelf had snapped off and I had to get new brackets.

2. Vacuumed the playroom, the dining room, the living room and the kitchen.

3. Dusted the living room.

4. Packed up the pack and play and moved the armchair back to where it originally was.

5. Mopped the kitchen floor.

Between now and when we leave for dinner, I really need to:

1. Clean both bathrooms. They are disgusting. That is priority #1.

2. Clean off the kitchen counters and table.

3. Organize and dust the stuff in the dining room/school room.

If I accomplish the bathrooms, I'll be fairly happy.

I finished the downstairs bathroom and the kitchen counters, etc. I even cleaned out the grody microwave. I'm not replacing that thing when it dies. These people are going to have to learn to live without one.

I will clean the upstairs bathroom and then take a shower and get ready to go. The dining room/school stuff will have to wait.

I must spend the majority of tomorrow doing laundry. The kids will be at their all day arts class. Dh forgot to block his calendar for Rosh Hashanah for the first time in 29 years of practicing law, and he has 20 hearings at the Industrial Commission which he can't cancel, so he will be at work! Shhh. Don't tell his mom he's working on the holiday. ;)

I've done everything except the afterschooling. DS11 and DS13 had left all their homework until this afternoon (despite having been reminded repeatedly all weekend to get it done in good time), and then whined when I mentioned afterschooling. I let them off with it today, it's only their second week back at school and we're all still struggling a bit to get back into a routine. I'll carry it over to tomorrow.

I just don't think it's all going to get done tonight. I'm just trying to decide my priorities...hmmm. I could always shell peas while watching something, right?
