Guess what I found in the dryer?

Recommended Posts

ohmygoodness! That makes my stomach turn just thinking about it. We had a serious crayon-in-the-dryer accident a few years ago, and I put everything in a laundry basket and set it aside for a week before I tried to get all the crayon out, 'cause it just made me so upset every time I saw it! At least the crayon did (eventually, mostly) come out. I can imagine what you could do for heat-set ink. How awful!

So....which child are you giving away?;)

I was reading some old Erma Bombeck last night, and she noted how she can NEVER find a working ink pen when she needs one, but if a pen goes through the wash you can bet it will have been FULL of ink!

That was my first thought as well. Some poor boy is probably hitchhiking away as we speak...;)

I'm so sorry. I don't supppose it was a load of old towels, huh? Yikes.

A small jar of India ink. Open and empty.

Yes, the entire load.

That is all. :glare:

I'm not even sure what India ink is, but I'm certain it's NOT something you want in your dryer!! I like Mamagistra's outlook. Less to pack!

Um...less to pack??? :tongue_smilie: ;)

LMAO - there's always a bright side, right?

It's totally unfair how my kids have NO IDEA HOW LUCK THEY ARE that they have ME for a mother. I didn't even yell. Cried, maybe, but didn't yell. He's six, and he really didn't know what he was doing. What can you do?

That said, I have no idea how I would have parented in the era before iPods. "All right, children, Mommy will be fine. Just go away and let me have 15 minutes with my headphones and some really loud guitars ..."
