We had a serious crayon-in-the-dryer accident a few years ago, and I put everything in a laundry basket and set it aside for a week before I tried to get all the crayon out, 'cause it just made me so upset every time I saw it! It's totally unfair how my kids have NO IDEA HOW LUCK THEY ARE that they have ME for a mother. I didn't even yell. Cried, maybe, but didn't yell. He's six, and he really didn't know what he was doing. What can you do? That said, I have no idea how I would have parented in the era before iPods. "All right, children, Mommy will be fine.
