  1. I keep hoping for Myrtle... :crying: But it's nice to see so many of you *here* that I only ever see on FB anymore. :grouphug:
  2. True, but doesn't that comment belong in the other TeA thread? ;)
  3. I have to at least pop in once a year and say hi, right? :tongue_smilie:
  4. And that's all I'll say about that. :leaving:
  5. I'm just sad I never got to knock him up. (I really shouldn't disappear for months and then come back and post something like that, should I? So many new people here. It's a reference to the old rep system. *Someone* always stole my thunder with him. I wonder who it was... :glare:):lol::lol:
  6. I'm guessing different people use it for different reasons. A while back it was questioned if people would be offended if atheists used AC on their posts if they were wanting answers geared to their specific viewpoint. I don't think anyone said they would be offended, but it never quite took off. In the end, I think I would feel like I was being inflammatory to put something like that. Much in the same way as how, say, on Facebook lots of my friends post Christian articles/quotes/etc., yet I feel like it would be seen as disrespectful to them if I posted an article that was atheistic in nature. (Even if the article were not disrespectful in itself.) Christian posts don't bother me at all, but when I analyze my thoughts about the matter, I realize that I assume atheistic posts would bother my Christian friends. It's quizzical, and possibly nonsensical.
  7. Nope, back in Colorado. Renting a room in Longmont until I find out if I've been accepted to CU Boulder. So I'm not completely homeless anymore. :D
  8. Digital is better than film, at least for online streaming purposes... :tongue_smilie:
  9. Not your real name, just SpyCar. Don't you feel much better now? :tongue_smilie: Oh, come on WTFWendy, cut FlyTar a break!:lol::lol:
  10. I miss you too!!!

  11. You might want to check on the man who took our pictures before you get all certain of that. :D Who knew hanging out at Shepler's could be such fun? Not I!
  12. Thank you!!! :D

  13. If the only thing you received was a server busy page, then no, that isn't the same thing. Everyone gets that. Here's what happens with the vBulletin hack that's been around for years. 1. Slow response (time delay) on every page (20 to 60 seconds default). 2. A chance they will get the "server busy" message (50% by default). 3. A chance that no search facilities will be available (75% by default). 4. A chance they will get redirected to another preset page (25% & homepage by default). 5. A chance they will simply get a blank page (25% by default). 6. Post flood limit increased by a defined factor (10 times by default). 7. If they get past all this okay, then they will be served up their proper page.
  14. But is it okay for a store owner to specifically not allow certain people in their store just because of their political views? Not for being any more or less combative, but because they didn't agree with their point of view? Would it be okay if a store owner answered a call, and because of the accent of the person on the other end decided to say that, no, in fact they weren't open that day, even though they were? If we're talking about a brick and mortar store, there are laws that prevent this kind of discrimination. So it's really not an appropriate analogy. I've had server busy errors plenty. But you really have no idea what the other is like until you've experienced it. It's completely different.
  15. Atheism isn't a religion, but I can understand why you included it. :)
  16. But as soon as you figure out just how to play, and actually start winning, they change the rules on you and scold you for playing the game that they created. But it's not just a game. Because, just like in video games, elements are built in to addict you... to make you want to keep coming back for more. I mean, if the purpose of the game claims to be one thing, yet it consistently never shows itself to be about that at all, then there must be more to it. There's a value in the game to its creators far beyond the personal impact it has on the players. I mean, if it's just a game, what's wrong with winning?
  17. I like the spray thingies that you can set on a timer. They work well, but they make people jump when they visit.
  18. I LOVE these. We used to play these as walk-in music when I worked at a planetarium. I'm not sure if they're too "kiddy" or not, but I still enjoy them. :D
  19. And even if you haven't left comments, I'm sure they knew you meant it in a positive way. :)
  20. If you've left a comment, then yes, you certainly have. Everyone loves nice rep comments, even if they don't have point value yet. :grouphug:
