JOHNNABONNA
Hi, I was just wanting to know what is you very, very most favorite read aloud that you have read with your children. Thanks, Johnna
Ellie
It's hard to pick just one :) but I'll go with Understood Betsy.
tammyw
Honestly, so very many. For some reason though, whenever I think about lovely read alouds, Mandy by Julie Andrews always pops into my head! So it obviously had a big impact on me. Outdoorsy Type
My boys favorite has been Cricket In Times Square. It's hard to pick, though. I have about 4 more that were loved almost as much.
nmoira
If I absolutely had to pick just one, it would be The Wind in the Willows.
Aurelia
Gosh, just one? I guess The Invention of Hugo Cabret. There were others that were much loved too, though.
woolybear
Tough, but I think Wind in the Willows, but maybe they would pick Tumtum and Nutmeg.
ThreeBlessings
So far? The Phantom Tollbooth as it had us all laughing out loud quite a bit. :) It was fun.
KristenR
I've got a running list of some of our longer/chapter read alouds here. Currently we are doing Pippi Longstocking and my goodness- my girls are having so much fun. They literally crack up out loud at Pippi's antics and adventures. Last night my oldest asked if she could sleep with her feet on her pillow like Pippi does. :D
LydiaG
Totto Chan. We are a houseful of boys (even our dog is a boy), and they all gagged when the dusk jacket fell off to reveal a Pepto-Bismal Pink cover. Once we started reading it, though, we all loved the story, which is about a young Japanese girl (Totto Chan) and her adventures through her first few years of school. We laughed, cried, cheered. Truly a wonderful book.
ladydusk
I think The Jungle Books were the most read aloud loved here.

Amethyst
So, very difficult to pick, but I'm going to say Five Children and It by E. Nesbitt. So very fun and memorable. We all loved it. But I know that as soon as I post this I'll say "Oh no! I should have said ____!"
