Nestof3
We'd like a house with a private pool, preferably around $1,000 or less for a week. Thanks! Edited December 29, 2011 by nestof3
Trish
Have you tried Vacation Rentals By Owner? (VRBO) People often rent nearby timeshare villas on sites like that.
LibraryLover
Bonnet Creek is very cool. The Pirate Ship pool area is pretty awesome.
Nestof3
We have looked at some companies that rent out homes (which is what we are looking for), but some get bad reviews, and I'm just nervous.
ByGrace3
We always use regal palms. They have houses and townhouses.
PentecostalMom
My parents own timeshares (Marriott's) and would LOVE to rent one for a week at a reasonable rate to someone that will not tear it up. If you are interested, please pm me and let me know dates. The resorts are one of these two: Marriott Grande Vista http://www.marriottvacationclub.com/vacation-resorts/marriott-grande-vista/overview.shtml Marriott Lakeshore Reserve http://www.marriottvacationclub.com/vacation-resorts/marriott-lakeshore-reserve/overview.shtml My dad had open heart surgery two weeks ago and they don't plan to travel much this year due to physical constraints. They are hesitant to list on a public site such as craigslist because they are afraid of partying college kids. I have stayed at both and they are niiiiiice! Brenda in FL
We stayed at Mystic Dunes in October. We got a great week through Groupon, but it looks like they have specials on their website as well. My only complaint was that the floor could have used a better mopping. But it wouldn't stop me from going again if the price was right - I just might bring a swiffer wet jet with me!
mom2att
We've used both of these companies with great success: Florida Sun Vacation Homes Vacation Central Florida The first is a large management company with many, many owners, but their standards are pretty high and their properties are nice (though the last time we stayed there we did notice that Windsor Hills is starting to show its age) The second is much smaller--a group of families who own and manage their rentals together. They are also at Windsor Hills.
DawnM
Oh, that sounds LOVELY! I have seen that place and it is very nice. How many weeks do they have? I am not going anywhere right now, but may go back in the Fall. Jennifer in MI
Check out Windsor hills! It is a complex with huge houses with their own pool as well as smaller condos. They have a nice pool area with a ton of playgrounds. We loved it there!

This is the villa we rented a few years ago. http://www.villadirect.com/orlando-vacation-homes/Rafiki%27s-Adventure.html It was inexpensive and very nice. mlktwins
I third Windsor Hills. We just got back from 2 weeks in a WH townhome. Loved it. We drove through the villa section and we will be staying in one of those next time.
littleWMN
Check out All Star rentals. We had a great experience with them a few years ago. We were stating in a large house with family. It had a media room and a private pool.

tkdkidsmom
Windsor Hill is Awesome! We have rented this house 2x with extended family. Our kids call it "The Florida House". 5 bedrooms/5 baths and private pool with built in hot tub & safety fence :D http://www.disneevillasforrent.com/ Edited December 29, 2011 by tkdkidsmom
LibraryLover
We've rented at Windsor Hills multiple times and you really can't go wrong. Windsor Plams is also nice and exactly the same layouts, but with a salt water pool (without the tunnel slide). Bonnet Creek has a spa, and is more of a resort, with more things to do. You can't get a manicure at WH or WP, for instance. ;) Although I did not get one as I am a cheapskate. One of the places (condo) we rented at WH was only $79/night. They are great bargains for families, and are clean, comfortable and spacious. They offer parents actual privacy, which is not to be underestimated. Further, I've often stayed behind, lounging by the pool while dh & the kids go off to do things. We have family in the Tampa area and we have been known to stay at WH and not go to WDW at all. Lily of the Valley
We have rented through http://www.allstarvacationhomes.com twice. They have properties in several areas (including Windsor Hills, which is where we stayed). We were very satisfied. We had a private pool, very nice home, game room, laundry room, etc. We would definitely rent through them again.

We just booked a week in Orlando for $600 in Feb. there were lots of options with good reviews for around that price.
