eaglei
Just finished watching this! I enjoy watching this movie each December, and never fail to be touched somehow by it . . . I had been wondering when I would fit it in this year - when ds called to dh and I - he already had it set up and ready to go, along with having re-stoked the fire in the fireplace so the room was nice and cozy and we all watched it together. (Satisfied Happy Sigh . . . :))
luvnlattes
Oh, I love this movie too! It's our tradition to watch it on Christmas Eve.

tntgoodwin
I just saw it for the first time all the way through Friday...for some reason George Bailey reminded me of Don Knotts, and his dad reminded me of David Carradine.
MunRoLy
We're watching this Friday. It's one our favorite traditions and we have a yummy homemade hot chocolate while we watch. My husband especially loves the movie and is very inspired by George Bailey. He ususually ends up crying!
Susann
We always watch it on Christmas eve. We go out to eat late afternoon, church, drive around/look at lights then come back for snacks & movie. Something we all look forward to!! Ellie
:001_wub: We always watch it Thanksgiving evening...for the first time. I've watched it a couple of times since then. :)
Lang Syne Boardie
For years I've been starting my Christmas season with this movie. Christmas always sneaks up on me, for some reason, and I always panic momentarily about the expenses and effort that will be required. So I like to pay attention to the first day of Advent and follow that up with It's a Wonderful Life to re-set myself before starting 'work' on Christmas. BatmansWife
This was on tv a few weeks ago. I watched it for the first time. I just love Jimmy Stewart. :001_wub:
Onceuponatime
I used to love to watch that. It's not high on the list for me anymore. For some reason my dislike of Mr. Potter increases every year. Last year I felt awfully close to feeling hatred for him. That disturbs me. I think I need a break, maybe a couple of years will give me some perspective.
Impish
Three of my all time faves have Jimmy Stewart in them...It's A Wonderful Live, Philidelphia Story, and Harvey. Wolf lets me know when any of them is on  "Honey! Quick! Harvey is on!" When I thank him, he responds, "Hey, I know my wife!"
Teachin'Mine
Jimmy Stewart was a class act - one of my favorites. :) Can't wait to see it this year!
fairfarmhand
Love this movie too. My favorite part is the beginning where all of the prayers for George Bailey are going up to heaven. All of those people praying for George at once, ALWAYS gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes. Imagining what could be happening if EVERYONE prayed at once just boggles my mind. goldberry
A comedian made a joke about how the movie was about a man who got burned by making high-risk loans to un-creditworthy people, and then was saved by a public bailout. It was weird how that was not entirely inaccurate! Still love the movie though!
