C_l_e_0..Q_c
nah....I am just venting about the clutter and mess. I would evacuate my children from the mess first. :) I'm going to join you here. Although there are days I'm not even sure I would evacuate them! (of course, I would never really do this, but the thought is fun)
Dawn in OH
I'm starting to feel like that if they can't keep it clean they have too much stuff and it's time for a major clean out! Dad agrees with me.

kolamum
Oh, forget the matches.. I scoop it all up and box it up and take it to the charity shops. :D They scramble fast when they hear the boxes and bags rattle. I'm talking under the beds and even in the closets are in amazing condition. ;)
Melissa in Australia
I remember when I was a child ( a long long time ago) . My mother brought a rake into my room, and raked everything on the floor into a big pile and gave me warning that anything left on the floor would be put in the rubbish. It worked wonders. I never had a messy room again.
Shannon in TN
Oh, forget the matches.. I scoop it all up and box it up and take it to the charity shops. :D They scramble fast when they hear the boxes and bags rattle. I'm talking under the beds and even in the closets are in amazing condition. ;) I've done that before with a trash bag. I've bagged it all up (while they were scrambling) and taken it "out" to the trash. It only worked when they were younger, because I couldn't stand the thought of just throwing out toys (there were some really nice ones in the bag). They just hid for a while and slowly went back into the rooms. Now, I motivate my oldest dd with selling things on consignment and she gets the money. It's a great way to get rid of those she's not really playing with any more.

pfamilygal
I spent 3 hrs with my oldest two dds the other day cleaning their room. I brought in two giant trash bags and 3 laundry baskets and said I wasn't leaving until they were full of stuff to trash or sell. Then I made them pay me for my time with a backrub.
