Sophia
How about the Sprinkler? Or Get Some Sun? Ds had some friends over this weekend and I learned just how much I don't know about the latest dance moves (actually, these moves have been around awhile, I've just not been clued in on them.) Just wondering if I'm the only clueless parent? I thought these dances were hysterical and um...very creative :D.
justamouse
my oldest does them all and he gets me laughing so hard I can't breathe at ALL, tears running down my face. And, if wants to really embarrass me, he does them in the car while driving (the ones he can).

Dawn in OH
Does this mean people have finally stopped doing the Electric Slide?
Denisemomof4
Does this mean people have finally stopped doing the Electric Slide? no, it probably means they've updated the name. ;)
eternalknot
I know all of those moves, but I have siblings in their teens and 20s that keep me in the know LOL. My kids know the Electric Slide. So does my Grandma. We participated in a science project for one of my nephews last year. There were about 15 relatives who committed to staying up for an entire weekend (or as long as we were able to). We had to do a number of tests at various intervals over the weekend to measure different effects of sleep deprivation. One such test was to measure the ability to follow directions; for that, we did the Electric Slide :D
Baseball mom
When I read "the Sprinkler" I thought about "Wild Hogs" (the movie)
Cedarmom
So I do them on Wii dance. I didn't know they were actual dance moves. I'm cooler than I knew.
Crimson Wife
The "Lawnmower" has been around for ages. I can remember DH's frat brothers getting totally hammered and doing it way back in the mid-90's.

Paintedlady
I had a friend 20 years ago that used to do those dances. Very funny guy! :001_smile:
3littlekeets
:lol: Yep, those have been around since the early 90's, at least -- when I was in college.:lol: We taught DS12 the sprinkler when he first learned to walk. The Superman/SouljaBoy, and chacha slide, (oh, and the Hoe-Down Throwndown) have occupied the last few years of kids dance crazes -- and we know them all :tongue_smilie: Edited November 25, 2010 by 3littlekeets
Lady Florida.
We used to do the Sprinkler in the 80's. Not as a "real" dance, but just for laughs. Edited November 26, 2010 by floridamom added a bit more
Impish
Never heard of any of them. I finally think I know what the saying, 'Ignorance is bliss' might mean...
