Starr
My goodness Dawn; that's quite a diagnosis for such a young woman! The pictures of her boys are darling. I'm praying her treatment will do it's job and she might have an easier go of it!
Hillary in KS
A year? :001_huh: She had to wait a year in order to begin treatment for a cancer that was diagnosed in August 2009? Poor Colleen!

Hillary in KS
Never mind. I'd thought I knew where she was from due to a couple of things in her post, but that may not be the case. Tree House Academy
I am praying for her. She is only a year older than me...and I can't imagine such a diagnosis at such a young age. Her spirit is amazing though! God bless her and her family!
Perry
A year? :001_huh: She had to wait a year in order to begin treatment for a cancer that was diagnosed in August 2009? Poor Colleen! I believe she noticed it a year ago, but it was diagnosed in July 2010. I think she had a hard time getting it diagnosed. LizzyBee
I believe she noticed it a year ago, but it was diagnosed in July 2010. I think she had a hard time getting it diagnosed. Even so, that seems strange to me. When I've had friends or relatives with lumps, etc, their doctors rush them through mammograms, mri's, biopsies, whatever is needed to diagnose or rule out cancer. At any rate, I'm glad Colleen is getting the treatment she needs now. Dawn, thanks for keeping us updated.
Beth in OH
What is Colleen's board name? Is this the Colleen who is the organic dairy farmer married to Hans? Beth
Old Dominion Heather
No, this is the other Colleen. Also has boys though... Colleen the organic farmer 's boys are older. Her youngest is the same age as my youngest. Praying for Colleen with the younger boys. Thanks, Dawn for the link.

Yes, this is true. She went in with (and I know she won't mind me being so bold here) a bleeding nipple. She was assured that she was too young to have breast cancer, that it didn't run in her family, and that the radiation exposure was too much of a risk. She was, instead, diagnosed with a clogged duct.

When she wrote she discovered she had cancer last year, I thought she meant she was diagnosed, not that she discovered symptoms for it.
