Wheres Toto
Sounds like a great idea! :D I can't chop, peel or slice onions without my eyes burning so badly I can't even open them without rinsing with a ton of water. Tell her that working under running cold water can help too.

MomOfOneFunOne
She loves all the encouraging remarks! Thanks! I did tell her about the running water and we both plan to try that next time we have to chop onions. Hey, Word Girl! My daughter is a huge fan and loves your show! KnitWit
Very cute! Reminds me of the movie "Benny and Joon" and Joon directing traffic with a ping pong paddle while wearing her snorkel and mask!
shalom22
I worked at a sandwich shop many years ago. We had to slice onions on a meat slicer, so you know what that would do. It would sling onion juice all over you and into the air. A guy that I worked with figured out a way to keep the juice out of his face. He wrapped his head in saran wrap, leaving room to breathe. I would not suggest that to anyone, but it was hilarious to watch back then.
Cricket
My oldest dd does that too!! Well, not the snorkel part. I'll have to tell her about that.

mazakaal
LOL My 6yo sat on the airplane a couple of nights ago with a Gatorade bottle up to his nose during the entire dinner service because he couldn't stand the smell of the dinner. The things kids do!

AuntieM
Did you know that you can actually buy onion goggles? DH ordered mine from Bed Bath & Beyond. I can't chop onions without 'em. Your dd is very resourceful!
