KidsHappen
The bag of food in the background is the smallest one for size comparison.

KidsHappen
Chico is a boy although I can see where he is going to have a hard time pulling off masculine. My dd wants to get him a tiny spiked collar but I have a feeling that's going to be hard to find. I don't think he is going to get much bigger. His parents were 6 and 7 lbs. He is probably only two pounds right now, smaller than all the cats in the house. I do worry about him getting under foot and getting hurt but he seems perfectly content to always be carried around. Defintely a purse puppy. :tongue_smilie:

Remudamom
Very cute, and Petsmart might have a small spiked collar. My dog wears one so everyone will know she's a force with which to be reckoned. Chomeranian??? Pomhuahua?
i.love.lucy
Didn't you have a thread about this breed...need to go look for it. Curious how you decided on it. My MIL lost my FIL last month and then shortly lost her beloved Shih Tzu. I want so badly to get her a new dog and she wants a tiny little lap baby. I don't know what to get her and it seems small breeds are so expensive or impossible to find at shelters. He's precious by the way!! Yes, I did: http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179721 The shelter that we got this one from seem to handle mostly small dogs, or at least the fosters that we dealt with did. From my research so far, potty training seems to be the only issue. I have been informed that some people don't even bother with outside training and just use potty pads instead.
