Denise in Florida
Yes, I am apparently going to have twin grandchildren named Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. :001_smile: Gender is apparently not an issue.

lionfamily1999
I've always loved the names Jules. Dh would not even consider it, since we'd be naming our son after his mother :p Maybe I'll pass that down and get a Jules in the next generation.
ChristusG
No, not after authors....but my 5 year old DD wants to name her future three children: Scooby Doo Martha (after the dog on Martha Speaks) Bolt (from the Disney movie) Do you get the dog trend going on here? I told her maybe she should just stick with dogs when she's older. :tongue_smilie:

Dawn in OH
Well, it's a long before we talk about grandchildren. But during my last pregnancy the names suggested for the baby were after Star War's characters: Luke, Anakin, and Padme. Maybe when the get older they will lean towards the names of author's instead. Jeannie in NJ
dd has a friend named Leia (as in Princess Leia from Star Wars)
sarawatsonim
The name Poe is on my baby name list for our next one. Boy or girl.
Pippen
My dad pushed for my baby brother to be named Mark Twain E. My mom convinced him to go with Mark Wayne instead. Funny, my dad wasn't a reader.
sunshine
Just the other night my ds18 informed me that he was naming his son when he had one "Amadeus". He is also a LOTR fanatic so I will probably get either an Aragorn or Pippin.
TXMomof4
I have a friend whose daughter is Freya. :) DH has an uncle named Thor. And he looks like a Thor - giant and blond. With a surfboard.
TXMomof4
dd has a friend named Leia (as in Princess Leia from Star Wars) I had a friend tell me he named his son Luke so he would be able to say "Luke, I am your father". His wife doesn't know that's where the name came from. I laughed a lot at that one. DH was jealous he hadn't thought of it.
Veritaserum
If doll names are any indication I'll have grandchildren named Eragon, Carmex, and Eyelash. We never had sons, but I'm partial to philosophers: Emerson, John Locke, Cato, etc. :)
