My goal this weekend is to tackle our den: pull out all of our old homeschool curriculum, dust the bookcases, load up the co-op backpacks, restock supplies and set up the desks/notebooks for a new school year. For all of you on the same mission today....may the force be with you. For all of you that have already finished this task....enjoy your weekend. I have a trash bag, storage boxes and my duster. buddhabelly Posted August 15, 2009 Share Posted August 15, 2009 I have to be ruthless about what goes to the attic because we have two (count 'em, two) bookcases in the house and no room for more. I will also put some toys in the attic to make more room for homeschooling stuff. If he realizes they are gone, he can still play with them! He mostly just plays with his Legos, though. One entire shelf is just music books -- theory, sheet music, quartets, bluegrass, Suzuki Books 1-6. I cannot see tossing old music -- it's right up there with throwing away books in the "I can't do it" department. I will think of you, Ferdie. Shall we post progress reports? Thank y'all for your heartwarming posts - I knew you guys would understand me. Progress report - phase 1 is complete. Desks cleared off, backpacks cleaned out, old curriculum in boxes ready for resale and the bookcases have been dusted. Yeah! On to phase 2. On a bright note I found the lid to the photocopier - don't ask. I also found SOTW 2 CD's which I didn't know that we owned. Bummer because I just ordered them from Amazon.
