springmama
Since our decision to homeschool our tenth grader this year is sudden, I'm not really sure what is out there for her. I'm curious to see what others are using. Could a few of you please share? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
8filltheheart
It would probably be more helpful if you listed which subjects you are looking for. My 10th grader is taking: Prentice Hall's Chemistry and using their virtual labs as well as using the Microchem set from Homescience Tools (Lesson plans/answer key/quizzes are available from Kolbe) Foerster's alg 2 with cd lectures from Math Without Borders French in Action (I would not recommend this for someone that won't be using it for multiple yrs b/c it is expensive. My senior is using Tell Me More with Breaking the Barrier's textbook for Spanish) Kolbe Literature (does have some Catholic components) Vocabulary Cartoons (for SAT prep) art history with Teaching Co dvds history is my creation Lively Art of Writing is a good book for high school essays. You might want to also look at Grammar for Writing and Writing a Research Paper which are available through Sadlier-Oxford for writing if you need a writing curriculum. http://www.sadlier-oxford.com/grammar/
