Abusers and their victims should NOT be in "marriage counseling" together. Research does not support this being at all helpful. Usually the abuser will manipulate the sessions and also gain more material with which to abuse the victim. generally the abuser needs a BATTERING INTERVENTION program.

Your best support right now is to encourage her to get in touch with an abuse advocate. If you want to do the rest just say she is going thru a difficult time. No more.

All my kids did preK before homeschooling. All were private preKs with no connections to local schools or any of this kindergarten visit and prep described above. Mine were multi age 3-5 classrooms. 2 were center based NAEYC accredited and the 3rd was a "montessori" program. I preferred the center based by far.

I needed it for this alone. But I think it used to be in the back of the book then they removed it and made a teacher book. Its not that much so I guess if I were first timer I would buy it for sure. Its handy to read about the whys of things sometimes.

I absolutely would text her. I would want to have the coffee or tea or creamer or whatever that she wants. Just say you are glad she will be spending time with your fam and want to make sure if she has any special requests you have them on hand.

In general it is never helpful or illuminating to respond to someone's statement about what THEY did with how you would have better handled it. Especially when you were clearly not faced w/ anything similar.

I think what I have gleaned about strip clubs is that its either a party where people happen to be stripping and you are sitting around and watching while chatting about the stock market??? or its a bunch of drunk guys hollering at a woman who is dancing sexily while removing her clothing. But I also think its very public and so its not intimate and arousal... would be heightened but not urgent?? I dunno. I have only seen it on TV and heard about it from friends, so this is my impression.

No I was not directing that at you at all. Also I want to correct myself up there. I would not be happy with my SO seeking out a strip club or a private audience with a stripper at all.
