I used this from the beginning with both of my children. It does a great job teaching them the rules and sounds. It does take some time, but at the age you're at it's not a lot extra. HTH!

Mom stood up today with help from the physical therapists and a walker!!! She took a couple of steps sideways too! She sat up in bed and hung her feet over the side of her bed to eat her meals! I was soooo happy to see the progress. We have a ways to go, but each day we seem to make quite a bit of progress, I am so hopeful for the future! Thank you so much for your continued prayers. They have been such an encouragement to me through such a discouraging time.

I haven't been on the boards too much this school year as my workload has increased. However, I would truly appreciate all your prayers. My mom came to the hospital on Mon Jan 12 with chest pains. They did a stent this past Tues, the 20th, and while the surgery went great she is not having correct feeling in her legs and not able to move them. They have a spinal tap in her spine draining fluid and so she must stay on her back, not twisting. She is very discouraged. When I came out yesterday morn she could not even lift her left leg. I did excercises every hour yesterday and now she can lift her left with me just minimally supporting her. It seems to be going in the right direction, it is very scary though and hard on her. She is not one who likes to sit and relax. Thank you so much for any prayers you can send our way for healing and encouragement.

That is soooo hilarious!!! I can't stop chuckling! In my family I'd leave it. But I can see if you have a family that doesn't like jokes that might not do.

He did take last Fri & Sat off so it felt a bit better. I do not care is he works every other holiday, but Christmas is a hard one for me! I must be thankful though, this is the 1st year he's actually had to work on Christmas Day. Other years his boss has given him the day off. I think it helps he has a great attitude about working every other time and is willing to work other holidays.

So far I vote for 2nd grade, but I have to admit my oldest is only in 3rd. However, 2nd has been hardest for both of my children so far, that seems to be the year that school becomes more time consuming and real.

We no longer have credit cards here either. But I voted close it, becasuse that would really tick me off that they would up my rate. I don't care if you pay it off every month or not, they are trying to be big bullies!

they ran out of time!:crying: Dh even stayed home to keep the kids quiet. We were all incredibly disappointed, he is a mainstay at our home, I listen to the radio show online while cleaning up dinner and the kids have been begging me to call him for some time. My idea was that I make freezer meals for friends and family and put them in a basket from the dollar store. Everything is made from scratch and most is from my garden, so it doesn't cost a lot, but my family LOVES it. My mom is VERY, VERY hard to buy for and she gave me back my pan one year and said she wanted one for her birthday too! So, trust me that's what I did!

My cousin did this. She also said it was a release for her emotions. She went to see a couselor, through God's wonderful love, and the help of the two different counselors she would see, she is free of it. I would definitely reccomend a counselor. I will pray for your family, this has got to be so tough.

Laura told me it will air tomorrow night at 8. Which is the time that the show airs on Fox. But, I will find out more when she calls me in the morning. I'm very nervous! I will let you know how it goes tomorrow afternoon! Also, I don't get it on the radio here since we are often doing things during the time the show is on, but I usually listen to it when we're cleaning up dinner, go to www.daveramsey.com and click on the Ramsey Show and he lets you listen to the last week of shows online in the archives. I haven't found out how to watch the show since we don't have cable, but I don't mind since I can listen to it.

I e-mailed them an idea last week, just thinking he would read it from my e-mail, but I got a call from Laura Johnson, his executive producer & phone screener, yesterday asking if I would be willing to talk with them!!! My family is so stoked over here, we are HUGE fans!

I love them! They are very age appropriate and my 3rd grader is learning shading techniques and will be learning a bit more drawing later. The drawing started about the end of 2nd grade, before that it's more cut and paste and color and minor drawing. They are very cheap. Check it out here.

We school Tues-Sat, and hubbby actually gets that Fri & Sat off, though not Christmas:crying:, so we will end up taking off 2 weeks and 1 day! I'm excited because I am VERY burned out and need a break from school to catch up on some house organizing and deep cleaning, and finish up Christmas details.

Yes we are very blessed to have each other to squeeze hands with while we get our noses pierced!!! I went first because I'm a chicken of needles, so my experience was not quite so bad! I didn't have to see how honkin' big that needle was until it was done!!!

I feel like it is a very strong grammar program and I like it!
