  1. Yay Tampa!!! Almost all of my family live there. :). Congratulations on your first year homeschooling! Welcome to the adventure. :)
  2. :iagree::iagree::iagree: Write him back thanking him for his concern and just continue living your life.
  3. Watch Spanish language tv with a dictionary by your side. The news especially would be good for vocabulary. I did this when I was trying to learn German and it helped me a lot. :) Buena suerte. :)
  4. Thank you. :) I was hoping people would pipe in with what works well for their dc. :) I'm always open to suggestions, but yes ultimately I want her to choose something that she will enjoy using.
  5. Anyone have some good recommendations for me? I want to get something that my dd can work with on her own to help her develop her own walk and her own personal time with God, but that is a little structured so she's not just up in her room not knowing what to do, kwim? Maybe something in a workbook format? I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for, but something that will help her work through the Bible and also develop her prayer life. I do devotions with the kids, but for dd I really want her to get into the habit of spending her own personal time with God. Thanks to all who reply. :)
  6. Come on over! I'm actually drinking a glass of Arbor Mist right now. Come on down and I'll feed you and give you a glass of wine and you can put your feet up. :) :cheers2:
  7. That's happened to me one time when I bought a cheap pair of jelly type flip flops from Forever 21. I had to throw them away. Not only did I react to them, they were hard as rocks. :glare:
  8. Oh noooo! I'm so sorry. :( :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  9. Oh sweetie! I'm so so sorry you're going through this. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  10. Me too. :) I don't have many shoes compared to some women. I probably own maybe 10 pairs in total, but I think 4 out of those are red. :) LOL I was wondering this too. I'm always barefoot once I come inside the house. Another reason I'm fond of sandaly type shoes. Easy on and off. I really like shoes too, but just can't afford them too often. I have no qualms about buying used handbags and clothes at a thrift store, but I draw the line at used shoes. It is a little too :ack2: for me. Can you polish them to remove the scuffs? That's a lot cheaper than a new pair. :)
  11. Do you mind if I PM you? I really don't want to derail the thread, but I'm curious as to how that works if you don't mind my being nosy. :) hehe I've never heard of a private residence located on city lands or do you or your spouse work at the park and they provide you housing? I'm fascinated. :)
  12. Oh nooooooooooooo!!!!! I'm so sorry. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: That stinks when they mess up your hair. :( I always cut my own hair for that very same reason. :( Hopefully the dye comes out at least. Are you doing it yourself?
  13.:lol::lol::lol: That made me literally LOL hehe Did they have kilts then?? :D
  14. :lol::lol::lol: Awwww that's too cute! :) hehe
  15. Yeah what did happen? Enquiring minds want to know. :D I've bought a lot of curricula off of Vegsource and sold some there as well in the past, but don't really know of any scandal. Alas I only discovered the boards in 2009.
  16. that I had with my Autistic son the other day who only parrots what I say to him. Me: "you're adorable" ds: "you're a vegetable" Me: "I rest my case" :001_wub: Anyone else have any good echolalia funnies lately?? :)
  17. You live in a city park? Do you mean a park park with swings and slides and stuff? I'm sure I'm misunderstanding you.
  18. :iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree: Shame on them all who knew and did nothing to protect those children. Shame! Shame! Shame!
  19. Oh how awful. I'm so very sorry. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  20. That's interesting. :) I never looked at a guys shoes. For me it was always their eyes that I noticed first that and their smile. Of course that wasn't a foolproof method since I had to kiss many frogs before marrying my prince. I probably should have looked at their shoes instead. :tongue_smilie: hehe  Love this! hehehe :lol: too funny! :) Mine too. Mine would say something like, "I live in a HOT place and don't like swampy feet. I LIVE in sandals even in the winter and don't care. I need to have my feet out in the open. I only wear closed shoes to go jogging. :tongue_smilie:
  21. Oh my gosh she is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! What a precious baby! :) Congratulations grandma! :grouphug:
