  1. I'm not Irish so I don't feel like I'm allowed to participate in St. Patrick's Day, but I do usually wear something green somewhere. I'm wearing green nail polish now in honor of the day. :)
  2. A little Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. Enjoy! :) Edge of Seventeen Leather and Lace Gypsy Hold Me
  3. Oooh did you see them when they won the world series??
  4. Wow that is amazing! What a great story. Thanks so much for sharing it. :)
  5. Oooh that sounds so pretty! How cool you're in a play!! Congratulations! :hurray: :)
  6. I think it must be. I've had a weird day too! Someone turned our water off last night and we went all night and day today without water. Someone just got into our meter and turned it off! What the? :001_huh: Then my mail person came and knocked on my door and complained to me, "You're on my list now!" because she had to deliver a package to me. It was super light so I don't know what she was complaining about. Then after she left I looked at it and it wasn't even for me. She gave me someone else's parcel! Strange people abound. :glare:
  7. My hair is dark brown, almost black. I like blue and red. Ay decisions decisions. If they weren't so expensive I'd get both colors. :D
  8. I would wait in line that long only if I had to, but yes I would if there was no other option. A friend of mine was from East Germany and had defected with her family when the wall was still up. I remember one time being out with her and her mother at a store and we (being teenagers at the time) were complaining that the line was so long and we were sick of waiting. I think we had to wait something like 25 minutes or so. The mother exploded on us and told us we were so spoiled and didn't know ANYTHING about waiting. She told us that in Germany she had to wait in line for 5-6 hours for bread that you didn't even know if they would still have when you finally got to the front of the line. You had to wait for shoes, clothes, butter, milk, EVERYTHING. She told us we were spoiled and didn't know anything about anything. I always remember that and I think if it were a situation like that, where I had to wait in a line to feed my family, YES I would wait, but for concert tickets etc no.
  9. HAHAHAHAHAHA  Hmmmm, you could always do the pink streak in your hair. ;) :D Sally's had the extensions and a box dye too. :)
  10. LOL I don't know mama. That ink you got was pretty cool! :)
  11. Awesome! When I get some money together I'm going to get the streaks for my hair. What do you think?? Blue, pink, green or red?? :D Awwwww! You're so sweet! :grouphug: What a nice thing to say. You just made my day. :) LOL Very cool indeed! I got the black crackle polish at Sally's. They might still have some. It's China Glaze. You put it on top of another color and it dries crackly like that and then you just put a top coat on and you're done! I got the black crackle and a hot pink crackle. :D Awwwwesooooome!! I'd love to see a pic of it! :) I think I'm going to start with two extensions and attaching them at the nape of my neck so that they show on the underside of my hair. I wear my hair up in a pony tail a lot so it would show the two stripes in the pony tail. :) What color do you think??
  12. LOL Check out my colors! hehehe Do you remember this thread when we were talking about pink hair. Well, I went to Sally's and looked at the pink extensions but they were a little expensive to buy right now so I did this instead. hehehe :D I know it's messy and my camera sucks so the pic is blurry, but the green is neon and actually glows in the dark. How cool is that!!?? :D hehehehe Anyway, I had to show you. :) Did you get the pink strip in your hair yet??
  13. I live in "Hurricane Alley" so we are pretty well stocked as far as supplies go. Thanks for the reminder though. You can never be too well prepared. :)
  14. In Miami, Florida you are just as likely to hear it pronounced mee-AH-mee. :D
  15. Awesome! Glad it worked for you. It always saves mine too when I get *ahem* over zealous with the lime juice. ;) :D hehe
  16. hehehehehe Awesome! :) Love the "smucker's grape jelly hands" I can totally picture that. hehe I would love to dye my hair a punky kind of color. I'll turn 40 this September so I feel like my time is running out to do something wild. Fortunately my face doesn't really show my age. I don't have any wrinkles or anything yet, but I wonder what my dh's reaction would be. He's almost 50. I'm sure my dd would be embarrassed to be seen with me, but if I didn't do it now then when, kwim?? :D
  17. BTW, I have two brand new boxes of Garnier Nutrisse in shade #40 that I know I'm not going to use. I started a thread on it to give them away and nobody wanted them. If anyone wants them let me know. I'd like to see them go to someone who can use them. I don't know what else to do with them. lol
  18. OOOH awesome! Pics Pics! :D What brand do you use?? Is it long lasting? I've heard that some of the wilder colors are really poor if you DIY as in they don't last long.
  19. I went to PS. I remember on the first day of 7th grade that several of my teachers said to us that we couldn't use manuscript anymore. We were 7th graders now and we needed to write all in cursive or they wouldn't accept our papers. Needless to say it got us writing in cursive. lol We also felt much more grown up by writing like adults. I wanted to do the same with my dd. I used to buy one of the cursive writing workbooks each year and have her complete it as her handwriting practice. When she hit 7th, I told her that she had to write in cursive and she does mostly although with math I will allow manuscript, but language arts etc has to be in cursive.
  20. Wait Beth. I thought we didn't start using the Jedi mind-trick until after they've been here 3 weeks. ;) :D hehe
  21. Revlon Colorsilk #30 in Dark Brown. It's a perfect match to my natural color and it's the cheapest one too! :hurray: :)
  22. If it had been my grandpa I probably would have too, but he didn't. It was always people I'd just met for the first time that sang it. It always went something like this. Person: "What's your name?" Me: "Jennifer" Person: "Oh just like that song. 'Jennifer Juniper...'" Me: *trying not to scream*:lol: My brother also hates Donny Osmond because he looked so much like him. All his life people would say to him, "Hey! Do you know who you look like?" lol
