  1. He is a sweetie :) Unless he thinks danger is near...lol He guards our family of 4 like we are a flock of sheep. love it :)
  2. A friend of mine just had a baby and had gestational diabetes. She was able to keep it under great control. This book helped her... The Blood Sugar Solution
  3. One year when DS was 2, my husband was in law school (so life was crazy) and we were traveling for the holidays, I didn't even put up a tree. My neighbor could hardly believe it, but it just wasn't a good year to do it for us. Take a year off. :grouphug: It sounds like you need it.
  4. He and I had a photo shoot this afternoon--haha! He just turned 2. Below is a picture of him at 7 weeks :)
  5. It started for me around the age of 35 or so. I'm 45 now. After several years, I finally just started taking something to help me sleep. I take very little, but it does trick probably 9 out of 10 nights. I wish I didn't have to take somethng, but I simply cannot function if I don't sleep.
  6. I didn't know I was supposed to clean my dishwasher! :scared:
  7. I just read a review on iTunes that says Pages now lets you upload to Dropbox! I may have to get this today!
  8. I needed toning too - mainly in my lower half as well :) What I found that helped was a book - The New Rules of Lifting for Women. It is not a video, but it is very easy to follow. Right now I am doing the P90x videos. Tony Horton is entertaining and shows you how to modify. It is nice because it includes toning (strength training), cardio, yoga, Ab work and more, and you just follow the schedule each day. I'm loving it:)
  9. I didn't buy Pages because it was so difficult to move docs to Dropbox from Pages. Is there an easy way to do that now? I use Doc2HD but would like to use Pages. Does Pages keep up with word count as you type? That is something that Doc2HD does not do, but I rely on wordcount heavily for some of my client work.
  10. You could maybe just increase the calories a little by adding in some healthy foods--so you have the energy you need to get through your workouts :)
  11. So proud of you!!! (They give me valium when I have work done! lol!)
  12. I use Audible and love it. I use the $22 / month plan and get 2 audio books each month.
  13. Yep--I've said as I have gotten older that my shape is different--things tend to take up more room. I think this is why :scared:
  14. We love this, and you will never know there is pumpkin in it! Pumpkin Chili 1 med onion, chopped 1 med. yellow pepper, chopped 3 garlic cloves, minced 3 cups of chicken broth 2 cans of black beans, rinsed and drained 2 1/2 cups of cubed, cooked turkey (chicken is great too!) 1 can of solid pack pumpkin or pureed sweet potato 1 can of diced tomatoes UNDRAINED 2 tsp. parsley flakes 2 tsp. chili powder 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano 1 1/2 tsp. cumin (I was liberal with it) 1/2 tsp. salt (use more) Combine all ingredients in crock pot and cook for several hours.
  15. This is amazing! Look at how much more room in our bodies 5 pounds of fat takes up than 5 pounds of muscle! And muscle burns lots more calories even while resting. Love this!
  16. It's not a video, but I started lifting weights last year and began with using the book The New Rules of Lifting for Women. It changed my life. I recently moved on to P90X with no trouble, because the book prepared my body so well. I have a couple of friends who used the book too with amazing results. No gym required :D
  17. I recently went with a friend on a hotel shop for 3 days--she did the shop; I went along to have fun and enjoy the extra time to work on my home businesses. It was great fun for me, but she worked so hard. She worked before we left, while we were there and after she returned home. She enjoys it so much I think it is a perfect fit for her. But it is not something I would want to do. Loved going with her though! I felt like we were on a secret mission! lol
