I wondered the same thing. Could it be that if she is dead, she will still show up in someone else's flashback? Or possibly, Alex will gain the upper hand of whoever did the shooting by admitting to being Ben's daughter. So she may be able to get them to save Danielle. :confused: I really want to believe that Sayid does have a plan, for instance, to gain the captain's trust. He's always so suave, this reaction just seemed so impulsive. The thing that makes me concerned that it may not have been a calculated move is the fact that the writers had Kate make an uber stupid, completely unbelievable move when she turned her back on Charlotte in the jungle while she looked through their bag and found the masks. That is so NOT what street-smart Kate would do. That was perhaps the the biggest error in judgment that I have seen the fabulous writers make on this show... other than the sickening Nikki and Paulo bungle. :ack2: You know, I'm the type of person who will cover my eyes and sing, "La la la la" when a preview comes on for a movie I want to see. I always prefer to be surprised. I love the mystery of the show, but this one issue seems to be getting the best of me. :glare: I think it was very interesting how, in Ben's conversation with Michael, that he pointed out that he didn't actually tell Michael to kill Libby and Anna Lucia. He seems to take no responsibility for actions that other people take on his behalf. But I can't wait to find out more about Annie. I think she will end up having played a major role in Ben becoming who he is today. Yeah, it does seem to be heading towards a very fast "escape" indeed. But then that would make Desmond's vision wrong since he said he saw Claire and the baby being rescued. Which makes you wonder if indeed he did, or did he only see the baby getting on the helicopter, but knew Charlie had to believe otherwise? And where did the freighter guys go this time with the helicopter??? Are they the ones who shot at Danielle? Or did Ben control the whole thing to remove the "obstacles" between him and Alex? Like his possessiveness with Juliet, he's not one to live by the old adage, "If you love someone, set them free," KWIM? So many questions!

There was a teeny short thread here. I was very surprised with how much of the episode was spent in Michael's flashback. Almost the entire show! I wish I had a crystal ball and could know who's the most baddest villain, Ben or Widmore. I don't need to know how the storyline plays out, I just want to know whose side to be on. I doubt either will prove to be a saint! :biggrinjester: I was glad they finally made mention of the other Others. We hadn't heard anything about them for quite a few weeks! That really ripped me at the end with Danielle. :crying: I had been rooting for her and Alex since the beginning. But Lindeloff and Cuse had mentioned in a podcast from last season (I think) that we would see Rousseau flashbacks in season 4, so hopefully that will be the case. And on one hand I wanted to cheer on Sayid when he sold Michael out, and on the other hand I wanted to yell at him to just STOP and think first! But that goes back to the question of who's the baddest baddy of them all. And it was good to see Libby again.:o I so wish they would have allowed her and Hurley to have a little bit of happiness before she died. No, scratch that. I wish she hadn't died. Okay, well I guess I've rambled long enough. :)

Well, my sister did fairly well with this one years ago, but it didn't last very long. (Like most diets. ;)) She talked me into trying it, but at the time I was a very experienced cook, and I was a true carb addict, so trying to find non-carb things to eat during the day was a huge struggle. I found myself just not eating at all instead of eating protein. I didn't think that was a very good thing, so I just dropped the program. Fast forward a few years... my cooking abilities have greatly improved, and I have worked hard to add protein into my meals. I have thought about trying this diet again now that I have a greater repertoire of non-carb foods. But I just don't know about cramming all those calories in in that short of a time period. (And maybe some of the guidelines have changed, I haven't read the book in almost 10 years!) But hey, if you try it, let us know how it goes!! :D

What I have found to work great for fingerprints and general dust are the microfiber cloths like you use for sunglasses. My daughter's laptop came with a microfiber cloth and it works great for her screen, the glossy top of her laptop, and I use it on my lcd monitor that is non-glossy. They don't work quite as well if there are smudgy gunky glops (drink splashes and whatnot) but with a little elbow grease they get it off. I was irritated when I saw how glossy the top of her laptop was, because I hate how easily fingerprints show on that, but the cloth just wipes them away. I love it!

Wasn't that on Michael's radio at the beginning? (My head has mixed up music now because I just saw the first few minutes of Eli Stone.) So I guess Big Tom wasn't kidding when he told Kate that she wasn't his type!

Well, I have no logical basis for my opinion, but I don't think it will be him. Are they supposed to reveal who's in the coffin tonight? As far as what Volty says about no possible plot twist would see Hurley dying alone, I'm not so sure. It's pretty obvious that things get very wacky once they leave the island. I mean, Jack goes from Mr. Control to Mr. Out of Control. Kate goes from someone who is purely self-centered and doesn't know the first thing about babies to the extent that she won't even hold one, to raising someone else's child as her own and risking her own freedom to protect that child. Sayid goes from being an utmost enemy of Ben's to working for him. So I think TPTB have clearly shown that people most certainly change once they leave the island. But I still refuse to believe that it is Hurley in the coffin. I believe there will be SO many new characters between now and the final episode that we can't begin to guess reasonably at this point. (Unless of course they are revealing tonight, in which case I eat my words. :tongue_smilie:)

Another thing to check on is whether it is a "gray market" item, which means that it will not include a US warranty because it from an overseas market. My favorite places for buying cameras and equipment are Adorama and Amazon. Keep in mind, too, that the upgrade of the XTi has been announced and will be released within the next few months. It is called the XSi 450D, and has some very nice updates. This can mean two possible things for you: you may wish you had waited and gotten the upgrade, or the price of the 400D will go down significantly once the new one reaches the stores and you will feel like you paid too much. Of course, you may just get it and be happy and not look back ! :) Good luck with your decision!

That sounds about right. We have quail here year round. We moved into this house in June of last year and had at least four quail families (mom, dad, and 8-13 babies) through about September. The families all still come around, but the babies are grown now. I can't imagine what our yard will look like if all the grown babies have babies this year and stick around! We feed them well, so our house attracts many birds. But we typically have at least 30 quail on our property at any given time. We have 1.25 acres, and it's certainly not a farm, so don't be surprised if they stick around! :o They seem to be very social birds.

I'm thinking Michael, too. The preview for next week said it will be someone we didn't expect to see again or something like that. There is no one that I wouldn't expect to see again. Come on, it's LOST. I mean, we even got to see Mr. Friendly again tonight. I try not to read spoilers, but I have heard Michael will be back this season, so it would make sense. So do you think Whidmore set up that sailing competition specifically hoping that boats would disappear and help lead him to the island? What a jerk! It would be great to watching Penny find out that her dad was responsible for Desmond ending up on the island! Ooh, and when she finds out his ship was purposely not answering her call! And I would assume that Ben knows who Desmond is, and his relationship to Penny and Mr. Whidmore. Will Penny and Desmond end up through some crazy time shift being the Adam and Eve from the cave...? Crazy stuff! And who exactly is it that Juliet looks just like? Ben's mom? Annie? So many questions... :D

Not a guy, but I have a little info on this. :) What is happening is that "they" are requiring networks to only broadcast on the digital bandwidth. Right now, apparently, they use both digital and analog. Once they switch to digital only, the analog bandwidth can be used for other purposes. (Be sold for mucho dinero.) You can still use rabbit ears. I do. But I bought them a few months ago and made sure they would work with digital signal. I agree that the future of tv is online, but with the writers' strike, and the alleged upcoming athletes' strike, I predict it will most certainly NOT be free, and there will be WAY more commercials. :mad: Gotta pay those writers/athletes some how, right?

The latest version of RealPlayer allows you to download youtube videos. You can then burn them to CD or DVD. When I installed the latest version, it had the option to display a tab on any downloadable content, and I clicked yes for that option. So it lets me know whenever content can be downloaded. I have downloaded several youtube videos this way. I haven't burned them to disk, but it should work the same way that it would for burning any other content.

I'm a tightwad. I despise spending money. Hate it. Hate shopping. It pains me. BUT... When it comes time to make a large purchase, I will get the biggest/bestest that I can possibly stretch myself to believe that I can afford. Makes no sense that a tightwad would do that. I guess I just want to make sure that I don't have to make another purchase of the sort for a LONG time.

I think there will only be six who were on the flight. The "Oceanic 6." (I just posted this in another thread, sorry for repetition.) So Juliet, Desmond, Ben, Alex, Danielle, Carl, etc. would not have to count in those numbers.

Keep in mind that the "six" would only refer to survivors of Oceanic 815. They were the "Oceanic 6." So if Juliet, Ben, Desmond, Danielle, Alex, or Carl left the island, they would not have to be included in the 6 count. I think the secret they are keeping is about the other survivors who didn't leave the island. Why else would Hurley have implied he didn't know Anna Lucia?

No vet in my area would do it while my dog was in heat. She is under 10 pounds, though, so that may have made a difference. As the others said, it is due to the increased blood flow to the area making the risk of extra blood loss too great.

A resource I found immensely helpful when we moved cross country is the City Data Forum Find the state and then the closest city that is listed and you will find forums (just like this format) that discuss all of the ins and outs of the area. I think you have to register to use the search feature, but I had no problems when I registered. Lots of good info to be found, as long as your town is somewhat near a main city. Good luck!

I don't know that it is necessarily better with regards to the dust issue, but I have been using a Magic Eraser, and it seems to erase better for me than most of the dry erase erasers I have tried. And it is pretty easy to rinse out when needed.
