  1. Congratulations! That was great! This is also my dd's dream. She plays guitar.
  2. Ironically I almost spit my coke out on this one!!!
  3. Wow! What great reviews! This program looks great. I am very excited to order mine. I have to say, having the option to purchase the material kit is wonderful! Thank so much for all of your replies!:D
  4. Do you love it? I am very intersted in using this for my upcoming K'er. It looks like there is lots of hands on. She loves anything hands on. I am thinking about using it slowly for K and 1st. Is anyone doing this? I would love to hear your thoughts on this, good or bad. Thanks!
  5. Fast track potty training?? Starting at 3 months old, really? Potty training school?? I am speechless! (This doesn't happen often) =)
  6. Could you help me make my purchase. I am not sure if I need to get the Classic or Standard, Starter Kit or Deluxe. Does anyone have advice on where to start? I am not sure which items are necessary for A. Thank you!
  7. I could have written this 5 years ago!!!!! I was 38. I really wanted another baby before I turned 40. I was super excited that my dh agreed. Best pregnancy! Easiest delivery! Easiest baby! We are all head over heals for her! She is my avatar. Good luck! Congratulations to your "friend"!!:D Edited to say..... It took us 6 months. =0
  8. Thank you all so much for your feedback. It has helped tremendously! Yes, she does know all of her letters, sounds and most CVC words. She would not be starting until the fall, so I think that I will stick with LHFHG. I will probably look for another devotional though. My dd is very sensitive. Thanks again!:D
  9. I am wondering if anyone has had experience with both?? COuld you tell me what you liked/disliked about both?? I have HOD - LHFHG right now and it looks good, it just doesn't seem to have enough hands-on which my dd loves. I am not liking the children's devotional at all! It is awfully brutal for a K'er, IMO. Can anyone give me some insight?? Thanks!
  10. How funny that you posted this question this morning. I just threw some socks on because I had a friend coming to drop off her child for a playdate and my toenails are half painted. Not half painted like I was in the middle of painting them, but a little bit on each toenail because I haven't painted them well since the cold weather came.
  11. Yes, this. I have rented a few times and it is their choice.
  12. If you listen to the entire story, the father originally was ok with homeschooing. I think this is more of a case of husband trying to get revenge on ex-wife!
  13. On the outside, yes. They support our decision, but I think deep down they question it. They do not say anything negative, but it is just something I can feel whenever homeschool comes up. However, it doesn't bother me. I am confident in my decision.:D
  14. http://donnayoung.org/index.htm I love this website! She shares so many helpful forms. If you haven't been here, go!!!! I just found an awesome interactive planner, and it was easy!
  15. First of all :grouphug:. I haven't had the same experience as you. I have not had anyone get "mad" because I am homeschooling. I HAVE had a lot of people just kind of look at me in that awkward kind of way that says "really" "why?". I simply tell them that it is the best decision for us. I think alot of people are really just curious. We are always getting questioned about homeschooling. I think that it is normal to have ps friends kind of slip away because you are not in the same mindset as they are. I have freinds whose children do go to public school, but I definitely feel more comfortable with my friends that are homeschool moms. We all gain and lose friends throughout life depending on where we are in our journey. I agree with the previous posters, just don't talk about homeschooling with the friends that you know are totally against it. If they ask how school is going, just say it is wonderful, thank you. Then come over here and rant and rave when you have bad days! We understand!
  16. I want to say thanks so much to everyone who replied. I really appreciate the time you took. i am very excited to start in the fall!!!
  17. Thanks! I do like the mapped out feature. I am a box checker:D I just hope that I can deal with spreading the program out if I need to.
