    Some people react more than others. I had a brown recluse bite and it never got very bad. I mean it was bad enough for me to go to the doctor, but it never became dangerous. If she's really worried, I guess I'd get a second opinion.

    I definitely think you could find someone to help you. I would start asking around. I have a friend who does house cleaning, but if asked, I'm certain she would take this kind of work.

    At first I was going to say that yes it is possible to change this. But, really, I think I'm a positive person, so that's easy for me to say! I guess I have become more positive as I've gotten older. One thing has been to not have any expectations of other people to make me happy. I think realizing that it is totally up to you is very empowering and makes it much easier to be positive.

    Yes, I am happy. I have come a long way. I feel that what I am doing is just what I am supposed to be doing. I love being at home with my kids and getting to know them. I think one of the reasons I am happy is that I work pretty hard to live a simple life. I don't always succeed, but I guess it is just a process and I'm doing really well right now!

    It's an interesting thing to think about. I grew up with a step-father who hunted and we had guns around, but I have no idea where he kept them. I never once touched his guns when he had them out. I just wasn't interested.

    That stinks! Is there any way you could turn the house phone ringer off at night and just keep a cell phone handy so family members can still reach you?

    Judy, I don't think you are overreacting at all. Guns should be kept in a totally different part of the house as the ammunition if any kids will be in the house. The gun was LOADED. I don't know much about guns, but I don't think it would be hard to figure out how to unlatch the safety accidentally or on purpose. That is scary.

    I usually just give it all away. That makes it SO much easier than trying to sell stuff. BUT, if I need to raise money for something, I will take the time to sell things.

    My favorite is very easy! You just saute garlic in extra virgin olive oil, add diced tomatoes and simmer for 30 minutes or so then add some chopped fresh basil and salt to taste. It is SO good and so easy!
