  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEEKABOO!!! You are the purr-fect person to do that! Great opportunity! ;)
  2. Except for my varicose veins, it's been ok. :tongue_smilie:
  3. No, what we need is the truth. I think there are people on both sides who would appreciate that. ;)
  4. I agree. I think this was just supposed to be a fun post about Sarah Palin's glasses. For Palin to come under judgement for something she wore in college, in perhaps the privacy of her own room...can we get past this ugliness?
  5. Yeah, great article. But I just have to disagree with one point: "Basically, Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton have only 2 things in common: their gender and their good looks." I never considered Hillary Clinton much of a babe.
  6. Wow, thank you for the link to this amazing article. I will go ahead and believe everything I just read. What a terrible person Sarah Palin must be!:smilielol5:
  7. When I lived in SoCal, I loved loved loved TJ Maxx and Marshalls, but you have to take a little time to look. Now that I live in Samoa, it's hand-me-down moomoos, my old summer outfits or Ebay! Can't find a decent store here for clothes. :crying:
  8. You scare me! :scared::lol: OK, I think it's cool. :001_cool: Just don't go on any political threads! :tongue_smilie:
  9. We are finished, but I really look forward to being a grandma! ;) Of course, my oldest is only 14 years old, so that better not happen for a long time. :D
  10. Oh, so I suppose if Palin isn't ready to be a candidate, then her AND Obama better sign up for "How to be a Vice President or President 101."
  11. I never proposed that I KNOW the mind of God in all things political. I used the words "I believe" in my original statement in regards to Palin, you know, as in opinion. I thought that's what this forum is for ~ to express opinions. Isn't that what you all are doing here? :D
  12. If Sarah Palin was really a kook, I don't think she would have an 80% approval rating in her state of Alaska. ;)
  13. At a recent fundraiser House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called Obama "a leader that God has blessed us with at this time." So are non-Christians afraid of this too? I don't subscribe to dominionism, but as a Christian I believe that God can raise up leaders to bring good into this world and that God cares about the affairs of man. If God wasn't ultimately in charge of this world, I would be very scared indeed. As to Palin and her theology, I'll let her answer for herself. But I don't think she has anything to be ashamed of. ;)
  14. But from the heart. An excellent speech! I respect him all the more. He was gracious toward Obama, that is for certain. And to hear his story, from his own mouth...amazing.
  15. McCain might have chosen her, but I believe God Himself brought her through the back door. ;)
  16. It's very appropriate for the people to be introduced to the families of the candidates. Obama and Palin both have beautiful families. ;)
  17. Considering that several liberal CNN commentators made a point to say how authentic they thought she came across. :tongue_smilie:
  18. Sarah Palin's speech was awesome ~ every word of it. She rocks. :hurray: Giuliani was incredible. Huckabee made me proud. :patriot:
  19. Nice to meet you. I haven't really been on the boards these last couple of days, but thought I'd stop in and see what's up. What absolutely adorable children you have ~ all of them! You are blessed. Wow! ;)
  20. Nothing very witty from me tonight ~ Mary was my first thought: Oh, it's a jolly holiday With Mary Mary makes your 'eart so light When the day is gray And ordinary Mary makes the sun shine bright! :001_cool:
  21. Whew! OK, sigh of relief...:thumbup1: I actually went to the blogger site earlier today and read some of the "tutorial" stuff. I think this could work. Although I've been pondering the thought of having Darcy @ Graphically Designing pretty it up a little down the road. I've been thinking on that one a long time. Now to decide on my title. I have a couple in mind. Need to think this through. :001_huh: But thanks! I feel a lot better. :001_smile:
  22. Oh gosh, can it really be that simple? And what about all the fun graphics, rotating book list, daily bible verse, miniature school schedule, etc. I want my blog to look cool like yours! :tongue_smilie: Ha Ha! Ok, well we all have to start somewhere. At least you and Karen have got me thinking about it more seriously. :001_huh:
  23. Part of me is afraid I will get consumed by the responsibility of starting (learning the ropes) and maintaining a blog. :001_unsure: My purpose would be 3-fold: 1. As a record of what we've been doing/a way for family & friends to keep up on the latest news 2. Share what life has been like in Samoa 3. Share things on there that might encourage/inspire others I would need to know the best links that have information on beginning the whole process, but I might have to start a new post or do a search. ;) I have researched it to a point. I guess I don't know the best way for me to go about it. I'm not super techy, but I think I can learn if I put my mind to it. Hmmm. I just want to do it in a smarter way, not a harder way. I'm concerned it'll be too time-consuming, and pull me away from other priorities. But if I can keep my boundaries, I think it would be a blast. :D
