  1. I did the login over again, then the Knowledge Quest website opened up, and I was able to download.
  2. Married 23 years next month. Kinda feel old when I write that! :001_rolleyes:
  3. * pencil/pen holder * coaster set * water bottle * green tea * kleenex * organizer for mail/stuff * stapler * tape * bobby pin * computer, mouse, etc. * TOG teacher training DVD set * clipboard/notes * TOG notebook * flashlight * post-its * pens * TWTM book * various history books * 3 lb dumbbells * math test to be corrected * hoop earrings * baby doll top that my daughter insisted the cat wear (I took off ;))
  4. Hey, I'd buy it! :tongue_smilie: I have nothing eloquent to say at the moment, but rock on, Susan. Those bashers need to seriously get a life!
  5. 1. I would absolutely have a problem with the M-rated video game and the card game at youth group. 2. Foursquare/AG background. Right now attending a large evangelical non-denominational church. 3. :iagree: I would feel compelled to discuss this situation with the youth pastor and the senior pastor. Considering the youth pastor's pattern of immaturity and an utter lack of judgement, I would not want him mentoring my kids.
  6. I agree that Ramona & Beezus is a very clean and adorable movie. Kitt Kittredge Second Chances Front of the Class (not available yet) TV series or miniseries ~ maybe for your enjoyment more than for the kids. Depends on what you are comfortable with: Little Men (from 1998/1999 but some people didn't really know about it). Quite clean, but I think the first episode from the first season has a quick scene of a fight at Plumfield School. Other minor content may come up, like a couple discuss a "lull" in their marriage. Use your own judgement. Lark Rise to Candleford (BBC) Netflix has seasons 1 & 2. Youtube has seasons 3 & 4. Possible minor content. Cranford (BBC) There is an operation scene that you'd want to be aware of. Return to Cranford (BBC) I haven't watched this in a long time, but I believe content is minimal. You can go to charitysplace.com and screenit.com for more specific details.
  7. Praying for your mom & all of you. :grouphug: I'm so sorry.
  8. Yes! When I wasn't dreaming of being a famous singer or actress, I would (try to) gather our dogs and cats together in the backyard, at the foot of the back porch stairs, then I would stand at the top of the stairs, and recite the Gettysburg Address or share some other tidbit I was learning in school. These were quite short lessons, of course! I was the baby of the family, so I didn't have younger siblings to torment. ;)
  9. Hi! I really enjoyed your post. I wanted to ask you specifically about what you did with your "WTM kid" in regards to her writing. What worked for her? What didn't? Thank you for sharing this. I'm inspired!
  10. Dawn ~ Lifting up your family in prayer today. :grouphug:
  11. OMGsh, Dawn. My eyes are tearing up. You are beautiful. I think your features and your hair are lovely. Your figure is slim and healthy looking. You have a gentle, wholesome beauty about you. Your husband ought to consider himself quite blessed! NO ~ he isn't settling with you. You love him, and I have no wish to be disrespectful, but he has a problem. Not just with his eyes, but with his heart. Obviously I don't know you IRL, but what I have gleaned from your posts over many months is a precious woman who desires to love and please her husband, to be the wife and mother that God desires her to be. May God help your husband to be a man deserving of you!
  12. Praying for you right now and throughout the night. I'm so sorry.
  13. It's 112 where I live. Enjoying the a/c and sipping coffee. :001_smile: I used to live in Samoa where it is hot and very humid every day. So this dry heat is easier to deal with.
  14. Kashi Go Lean. I try to match a coupon with a sale price so it's less expensive.
