  1. I would have a lot of trouble with that sign as well. I would grudgingly do it though as I'm an avid rule follower. :glare: I would talk to staff and have them handle it. Especially after seeing the way she responded when confronted. I'd tell the staff that too.
  2. No. Just no. I would not allow him out of the house in those. Leggings are for wearing under skirts, not as pants. Leggings are NOT pants. Not on anyone. I would especially not allow him out of the house in girls' clothing.
  3. I'm apparently near your area as we got 2+ feet of snow on Saturday. ;) I shop weekly. Saturday is my normal day and my Fridays are already packed with co-op. So I went shopping on Thursday instead. There seemed to be plenty of bread and milk in my store though and we had bananas. Eta: I also have a steep driveway so going it right after the storm means big issues getting back in the driveway. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  4. Final totals for my area are in excess of 30 inches. That doesn't even begin to cover the drifted areas. The snow is over the window sills on many of my first floor windows. DH had to be out plowing yesterday and is gone again today, which sucks. I don't like snow... :glare:
  5. I'm in central Pennsylvania. The wind isn't terrible but there's at least 18 inches of snow and its still snowing heavily or there at this point. They are guessing around 2 feet until it's all done late tonight. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  6. In this case, absolutely do NOT do it. That would be a nightmare for your system. My husband works in the septic industry. He has said over and over how bad they are. We will never have one. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  7. Skip it. Garbage disposals have been known to cause smell issues and, more importantly, pipe back ups. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  8. Burners but I've heard elements for electric. I grew up in central PA. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  9. I'm looking at these too! Thanks! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  10. I haven't heard of this! Off to look into it! Thanks! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  11. Thank you everyone! I placed some requests at my library. :) Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  12. Do these exist? I'd love to find some books for 5th-8th grade ( anywhere in there) that follow somewhat closely with any of the current 7 movies. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks for the suggestions so far! To be clear here, DD is the fourth grader, not the first grader. ;)
  14. The title says it all. :( I usually LOVE History but I'm just not feeling it this year. We are on Ancients, kids are 4th grade and 1st grade. I need free/low cost ideas, please! Something that DD can do on her own with very little input from me. DS had missionaries last semester and has history this semester at our co-op so I'm really not worried about him. But what do I do for DD? Thanks! ETA: We are working on Story of the World volume 1, but I'm bored and so are they. We have Mystery of History, but SIGH...we have access to several great libraries in our area and we have Kindle apps galore here.
  15. I'm sure he'll just LOVE that. :glare:
  16. Cheeseburger mac and cheese. You can make the mac and cheese from scratch and it's AWESOME or you can use the boxed kind- still good. To make it, I brown the meat and add a bunch of hamburger seasoning plus diced onions. Then when it's done, I drain and mix with the mac and cheese. Super simple and my family thinks it's wonderful. We also often brown the beef, add onions and other veggies, season it any way we want (I typically do taco seasoning here), then serve it over diced and baked potatoes. Stuffed peppers are good. We brown the beef, add onions and other veggies, season it, add tomato sauce and rice then spoon it into pepper halves. Bake for a little while in the oven to cook the peppers (maybe at 350*?).
  17. Check Goodwill. We got a bunch of fun board games there for $1, books for 50 cents, tshirts for $3-4...all in great shape. We have also gotten really fun socks there. ;) As an aside, this is the second post on which I've suggested goodwill. I think I may have a problem. [emoji38] Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  18. Aww man!! I thought this was a nationwide thing! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  19. Goodwill, seriously. I have found some awesome shirts there for my boys for Christmas and tomorrow is a 50% off day too. ;) I highly recommend it!! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  20. Everyone has given you great advice already and you should probably just follow theirs, but I had to say this. I regularly pick up Christmas presents in front of my children and then tell them they have to try to forget I bought it...lol. :leaving:
  21. I'm going to write mine out then go back and read the rest of the posters' ideas. Mine would include: - a new coffee to try each month - a new snack (dye free so I could actually eat it since I get migraines from them...m&m's, I miss you) - a new pair of fun socks - a book to read (preferably YA or Juvenile fantasy or Science Fiction as those are, for some reason, my favorites) - a new movie (no bloody action or horror as I don't enjoy those ever)
  22. We are doing the same thing at our house and chose to watch in sequential order. Now that we're about to watch the 6th one, I wonder if we should have watched in release order. But we have enjoyed watching Vader's story progress all the way through. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
  23. Dd9 is exactly like what you're describing when she has food dyes in her system. This includes those found in gum, tic tacs, tooth paste, shampoo, and paints. She is extremely sensitive to them. Her reactions often last at least 48 hours after exposure. She is volatile that entire time. Just looking at her wrong is enough to set her off for an hour when she's on food dyes. I'd start there, OP. You might be shocked by the difference. God luck! Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk
