do you ever feel like you were already down for the count, and then something comes along to deliver the knockout punch. That is me today. Been in tears ALL.DAY.LONG.

ok, I checked on bedbugregistry.com and also read reviews on Trip Advisor. Both showed no complaints of bed bugs at his hotel at all. Even going far back in time. This makes me feel a little better. Should it? LOL I will have him change his clothes in the garage and leave his suitcase outside for awhile. What about the clothes in the suitcase. If these go right into the washing machine, am I safe.

My dh called and he is on his way home after being out of town with work the past two days. He told me that he noticed a small bug on his sleeve this morning and a couple on his pillow in his hotel room. He looked at the mattress and didn't see anything. What precautions should we take when he comes home?

my dd is participating in a homeschool craft fair tomorrow. She has crocheted items and we are not sure on pricing. She has really cute little kids hats that are animal themed. She has adult hats and also fingerless gloves. Can you tell me what you would pay for items such as these? Thanks!

How could it be the 2/3 baseline if Craig tripped over him going from 3rd to home?
-
Tim McCarver and Joe Buck gave a very detailed explanation why this call followed the rules. Basically if a defense player obstructs a base runner, whether it is intentional or not, the runner gets to advance to the next plate, which in this case was home plate. They said the umpires absolutely made the right call.

we are going to be driving through Indianapolis tomorrow afternoon on our way to Cincinnati. We will be driving from St. Louis and taking Hwy. 70 to I-465S/I-74E exit to head down 74 to Cincinnati. What hours of the afternoon will rush hour traffic be bad enough that we should try and arrange our schedule around those hours? We are visiting my ds in Cincinnati and he said we should avoid Cincinnati anywhere from 4:30-6:30. So we are probably leaving St. Louis later than we had planned to arrive around 8:00, which would put us in Indianapolis around 6.

my 4th grade ds broke his collarbone this afternoon and has to keep his writing hand in a sling for 4 weeks. So, he won't be able to write anything. Certain things like History, Science, Reading can be done without writing. But what do you do about thinks that require writing like Math. I am going to be looking at apps to put on the Ipad. Any other suggestions. Keep in mind I am schooling 3 others, 2 which are in high school. Any suggestions appreciated..

Poll: How many of your kids know who Roy Rogers is?
Teresa in MO replied to Heart_Mom's topic in The Chat Board
my MIL is a hugh Roy Rogers/Dale Evans fan so my kids have grown up watching his movies and tv shows. We have most of them on DVD. My MIL has met both of them and even has her picture taken with them. Dale and her corresponded back and forth the last few years of Dale's life. So, yes, my kids know who Roy is and are big fans! -
Breaking the Barrier Spanish Ipad App?
Teresa in MO replied to Teresa in MO's topic in High School and Self-Education Board
I am the original poster. I ended up ordering the Alpha Omega Spanish 1 because I thought it would best fit my dd's learning style. Here is the link to order the test packets separately. http://www.tobreak.com/images/order_form_2.5.pdf -
Wandering in the woods: how do you choose an orthodontist?
Teresa in MO replied to Alicia64's topic in The Chat Board
I have ten dc and all of them have needed braces. They have wonderful teeth, no cavities, but just not in the right place. I guess there is a hereditary factor in some cases. When my two oldest dd's needed braces I took them to two different orthodontists. Both wanted to break their jaws before starting with braces. Scared my dd to death. So I asked around and was referred to our ortho by another homeschooling family. We absolutely love him. He is conservative with treatment. My kids do not have ordinary cases. They have extreme cases. You couldn't tell by looking at them. My ortho teaches at Wash U dental school. He once asked by permission to take my dd's files to a national convention where he was speaking to teach about their type of cases. He also told me from the beginning that for large families the sixth child is free, he just charged the insurance company their part. When we got to number 6, he kept his word. So, I am on #7 and have 3 more to go. So, I think the best way to find a good ortho is definitely word of mouth. -
U.S. History 1 CLEP ?
Teresa in MO replied to BakersDozen's topic in High School and Self-Education Board
the best resource that we used for any of the CLEP test is the REA Clep Test book for that particular test. We have used the US History, Psychology, Sociology, and Human Growth and Development. We also used InstantCert.com which was very helpful. It is $20/month. We would sign up for one month and it was all that was needed. -
U.S. History 1 CLEP ?
Teresa in MO replied to BakersDozen's topic in High School and Self-Education Board
my dd took the U.S. History 1 CLEP and passed on the first time. U.S. History 1 is the best one to take as the others tend to ask more politically correct questions. I have several friends whose dc also took it and all passed on the first try. -
this was very sudden and they are not sure what happened. I have a close friend who was with her yesterday afternoon and got a call this morning that Debbie had passed away last night. Her anniversary was tomorrow and she was going to spend it at the same hotel that they stayed at on their wedding night. So sad. Our prayers are with the Strayer family.

Could someone tell me the time commitment involved in CAP? -
It was showing 65 degrees in the fridge this morning? Would that make a difference?

We had bad storms last night and our power went out. My husband has a generator hooked up now but I need to dump what is in my fridge. It is up and going now. So does oil based dressings need to be dumped? How about jelly and relish?

Homeschool Helper planning app
Teresa in MO replied to sassenach's topic in General Education Discussion Board
Does this app track the number of hours? I use EduTrack right now and like it because it tracks my hours, which is required in Missouri. But I would love to have another option as it seems I lose Edutrack on a regular basis. -
First, I want to thank whoever posted the steps to get the Teacher Access Pack and student book from the publisher. Was very easy to do and ran into no problems. In the brochure for the teacher access pack, it states you can download and edit student worksheets. I can not find anywhere on the website to do this? Also, can the tests and answer keys to the test be printed out? Thanks.
