  1. I read it ages ago, and it keeps popping up, and I keep thinking "Oh, I need to read that again" but never do. Thanks to your post, I just reserved it at the library. Thanks!
  2. I'm so glad you wrote about this! Now I don't feel like it's just me. The other day, I was so tired I kept thinking "what is wrong with me, I should get checked out". But I have regular labs done also, and everything's fine. Personally, I think it's having someone ask "why" 50 times per day!
  3. I went to church this morning, so the getting dressed, hair and makeup part was easy. Usually, we are all so crazy and late that the house is a total disaster when we leave. Then I'm always so crabby when we get home because we're rushing to do lunch and everythings a mess... You get the picture. But TODAY I made a real effort to have everything put away. And I still had time for coffee. AND the sink was shiny.:D
  4. Does anybody have info on any good summer reading programs? Our local library has one, and we are doing that, but I thought I remembered seeing something on a homeschool site somewhere. I want to keep our momentum going, and it's a fun way to do it. (Prizes are always a great incentive too)
  5. Only his regular name. Weird? I have never been able to do the honey, sweetie, baby, etc... Yet I do with my kids. Even weirder??:001_huh:
  6. That's how I would feel, but I won't let them call me mom-it would mean they aren't little anymore! My ds calls me Mama, and my dd does too, although for some reason last year she also started calling me Mommy.
  7. Brigette: I would do both. Pour some on the ice cream, but also drink some too. Enjoy!:cheers2: Tammi
  8. I did too much today, and am really cranky right now. Oh, Mike???? Seriously, I started just shining the kitchen sink, but since I had the window cleaner out, I thought I'd better do the bathroom mirrors (what a sight). Then I decided I might as well clean all the bathroom sinks and the toilets while I was at it. DH had to work today and said he wanted to help clean, so before he left, I said I'd vacuum the floors. Majorly needed it. So....I did the floors. Then, everything was so cluttery I felt like the cleaning would go unnoticed if I didn't de-clutter, so I did that. I finally ended up finishing around 2:30 at ate my lunch then, which included 1/2 bag of dorritos. I need to work on the de-clutter body next! Anyway, I feel like now I can start fresh at least. I am NOT going to try to do too much, because I do feel like a total crank and like I want to take everyone's head off. Tomorrow: Day 2 Tammi
  9. Okay, I've been seeing this for a while, and last year I did go on the flylady website-but did nothing. YOU HAVE INSPIRED ME!!! I just joined, and I'm about to go make my sink shine. YEAH!!!:hurray: Tammi
  10. I would check with a doctor. But, I have suffered with migraines as well as migraine/sinus headaches for years, and what FINALLY helped me was using a saline rinse with a neti pot. If you aren't familiar with it CHECK IT OUT!!! I am not kidding, it was like a miracle cure for me. And better yet, no pills. Tammi
  11. Wow, it scares me to look at that!:001_huh: I thought I was bad. My problem is that I end up buying more than one curriculum, curriculum I don't always need but that looks great, PLUS I am a fanatic when it comes to just buying books for them instead of doing the library as much as I should. The way I have cut down this year somewhat is finding used curriculum, and that made a difference. Also, selling my stuff, and figuring out from now own to copy pages and not let the kids write in the workbooks. Tammi
  12. Whenever I hear about someone like that it makes me hold my kids and not want to let go. Why are we so blessed???
  13. Are you going to just the wedding, or wedding & reception? If it's just the reception, you could do the capri's, but if it's just the wedding, I would opt for a dress. I think black is fine, pretty much anything goes now.
  14. I do think they go through their clingy stages, and that's one reason I am so thankful that we homeschool. My dd was the same way. She's 6 now, but whenever she has been involved in something, she always wants to make sure I'm right there. Sunday school, guess who's the teacher or helper? But this year, she has finally come around, as long as she knows I'm close by, I don't have to be right there in the same room. So no, I would not force it. One other thing, mine has had issues that haven't gone away about certain things, and we found a wonderful Chrisitan counselor, who I just love. Have you considered that at all? Good luck & give your dd a big hug! Tammi
  15. I think it's fine, but that's because mine still take baths together sometimes. They don't like showers, I would love if they took showers, but then I either have to take one with, or stand there & get soaked while I try & help. So.... how old is too old to take baths together????
  16. We don't have a cute anything around here!!!!:glare:
  17. I already had mine at lunch!:cheers2::cheers2: The kids were with my parents all day, so dh and I had the day to ourselves.:hurray: Have fun!
  18. I go to the ob/gyn every year, I guess it wouldn't occur to me not to. Also, I LOVE my guy. In fact, now that my youngest is 4 I said to my husband "I really miss Dr. Reinardy". My first man ob, but it's like they become your friend. Just me? Weird? Tammi
  19. I know what you mean sister!!! I feel like I haven't been where I wanted to be at weight wise since-wait-I can't remember!! I like that post about the snacks before eating, I'm going to check out the book! The one great thing you have going is you are working out. For me, if I stop working out, I forget about the diet. I'm an all or nothing gal, which is not a good thing. Give yourself a pat on the back for working out and keep up the search! Tammi
  20. Pam In GA: Is it time for Mike yet????? I feel your pain. At least my dh doesn't answer the kids questions. We all have our stuff.:D Thanks for making me feel better. Tammi
  21. I am starving now!!! We moved from Madison WI to the middle of nowhere, and GOOD restaurants are what I miss the most. Here are some of the things: Gyros tapas chile rellenjos chicago style stuffed pizza Any good chinese krispy kreme pastrami on rye from Ella's Deli I could go on and on, but I think I'm going to scrounge around for something pitiful to eat now.
  22. Okay, honest question. I love my dh, but he works from home a lot, and it is causing problems. He never stays in his office, and leaves his papers everywhere, and it seems like our schedule is always off when he's home. He used to travel a few nights a week or every other week, and that was perfect. I feel really guilty having this attitude, but sometimes it just feels like it's one more thing added to a huge pile. And I only have 2 kids! I know how blessed I am, but I feel like he and I are bickering about all the little things (because he's ALWAYS there) and so it's easier when he's not there. When I really think about that, I feel awful, because I think "What if something happens to him, I'll never get over the guilt, I've got it so good"etc... you name it. I know I'm rambling. It's just that he's got the perfect job, he doesn't even have to work that much and so he does what he wants during the day unless he gets a phone call. While I'm homeschooling, which I love, but yes, the house is not the cleanest. So then he has the gall to make comments about vacuuming, it's a mess... Okay, ramblling again! Somebody help me out here  Tammi
