  1. I don't know how all of you feel when it comes to tv & dvd's, but on days like that, everything else goes out the window, and watching is the only thing that saves us!!! Of course I try I have them watch stuff that's slightly redeeming. I feel for you! Are you ready for Mike yet?:D
  2. Okay, here's a question. My dd loves drawing, and does so constantly-and I mean CONSTANTLY! She is also very creative when it comes to crafts, and making up things herself. Because I have no talent in that area whatsoever. Okay, here's the question part. I'm afraid if I get one of the art programs that tries to teach her how to draw this, or how to draw that, it will take away some of her own creativity and change her style. Are there any art programs that will allow them to be creative without saying "do it this way". Again, very ignorant when it comes to this, as it has never interested me personally. Thanks! Tammi
  3. Congrats! I wasn't able to get to anything this year, so I've been checking websites like a madwoman. Tammi
  4. I wanted the Wii Fit, but didn't have the console, and checked EVERYWHERE. Plus, I didn't want to pay over the amount. I ended up getting it on ebay-the buy it now, I didn't bid for it. I got the whole thing for $439 including shipping and got it in 2 days!!! Try ebay. Tammi
  5. I don't even WANT to know the horror stories! I love paypal. It's what I prefer to use to buy and sell, it's quick, easy, and the best part is that if you have a problem, YOU CAN ACTUALLY SPEAK TO A LIVE PERSON! Good luck, Tammi
  6. Okay, after reading all of these, I am really scared!!! I am waiting on 3 pkgs myself, and one I sent someone hasn't gotten to her either! What is it w/ the PO??? My only saving grace is that I was smart and insured ONE of the packages, but still. From now on, I am insuring all. The one pkg had curriculum that I have been waiting to start ASAP. Great. Good luck to you all.
  7. I needed to hear that. It's so weird, I feel like an addict or something. I know shopping can/is addictive but I never thought I would get that way with curriculum. And yes, it is counterproductive to rack up the charges before starting. I KNOW this in my mind, my thinking reasoning mind. Deep breath. Okay. Thanks!
  8. Someone has the reading lesson book, cd & dvd for sale. Is that any good???
  9. Quick, dh says we HAVE to go on a budget-we're going to start the Dave Ramsey program we bought 6 months ago. What curriculum can I buy before we start!!! Seriously, I'm trying to rack my brain & not go crazy. My dd is all set, I think. I've got MFW 1 starting any day now, with Sonlight k coming (not sure if we're going to keep). My Sonlight k is coming with the readers 1, and I don't know if it will be good or not, that's the problem. She has been doing clicknkid online & is on lesson 43, but we haven't practiced a lot of reading. I have the whole HOP set, but she wasn't thrilled in the beginning. I was going to just add explode the code, but her writings not so great. THEN, my ds is going to be doing some MFW with dd but I need to go over phonics with him. Sorry this is so long, I just feel like I'm about to be cut off:lol: Don't know if anyone can help me-probably not. I don't even know what I'm saying. I'm just rambling, can't seem to stop, help, stop typing!!!!!!
  10. No, you are not mentally ill. Unless I am too (maybe so) I am the same way. Moving to a different city, different job (soooo many), different career, having a baby, another baby (despite numerous fertility issues), building a house, going back to school on-line, constantly looking on-line "where can we move now". My dh refuses to, but I'm always looking at real estate on-line and looking up new city info. Anyway, I don't know what it is either, and I am very happy too. You wouldn't think so, huh? What is missing? I think I need to focus on God more. Yes, that is the answer.
  11. Okay, after reading all of yours, I almost wasn't going to say anything, but... Okay- Footloose! And I wanted to watch it alone so I could pretend I was in high school again. Oops, now you know how old I am!:001_huh:
  12. I have been wearing my maternity suit for YEARS-my youngest is almost 5. But it's a very cute, black suit and I figure that no one knows me when I wear it, so what if they think I'm pregnant. I hate my legs!!!!!
  13. 2 days. Next question, how many days have you been wearing the same clothes? UPS came today and I was on the phone with my mom and I said "Oh no, I'm always wearing the same thing when he comes!" I hope I'm not the only one here!!!
  14. Is anyone else ready for Mike??? New to this, so do we JUST do Mike's on Fridays? If so, pretend you never saw this!:D
  15. I just got one last week! The kids love it and I use it as an incentive/punishment for them. I have been hogging it, but my dh did try it the other day and really liked it. I know he could easily become addicted, he's constantly playing little games on his phone (drives me NUTS) but I figure if he becomes addicted to this, at least he'll be (hopefully) fit. GET IT!!!
  16. I love it because I feel like we are the same. And, it's so amazing to be able to form friendships this way. Out in the "real world" I do have other hs friends, but we don't see each other very much, and sometimes when I'm around "regular" people, I feel like I'm on a completely different wavelength; like I'm from another planet or something!
  17. Brindee: :iagree: I was just thinking to myself "It's a nice day get outside with the kids!" Is someone crying?:bigear:
  18. "I'm not on drugs but I might be crazy!" Thelma & Louise-the next day after Thelma and Brad Pitt.... I love the "That's what she said" from The Office bye the way Justme
  19. It didn't work!! It's in the part that shows "your current photo" but won't come up here.
  20. Okay, I admit it, I am becoming glued to this board! First, I was just a visitor, now I'm constantly on it, I added a signature, and just now I added a photo. That's why I'm posting, I wanted to see if it worked & how it looked:seeya:
  21. I am hoping it's starch from the pasta, the only thing is, I've never seen this much before! And it's on the sides as well as the bottom of the pan. Maybe it's starch and that's the way it looks on the green pan? (hoping) I did wash it, and it looks okay, so now I'm not sure what to do. Maybe I'll go the denial route & pretend it never happened.:D
  22. Mine came too!!! Except I haven't gotten very far into it, and already I'm like "Oh, what is that curriculum, never heard of that" and I am already looking up reviews. Not a good thing for me!
  23. Do most of you with AO use the library? I'm afraid I'll buy everything, which I tend to do.
  24. Melissa: Pray, pray, pray about it! And then listen! I pray a lot about things, but I tend not to do the listening part. I can tell you that for me, I would give up the house all my things, etc... if it meant I could continue to stay home and continue to teach my kids and have the joy (most days) of watching/listening to them. I truly feel that is MY calling. Yours may be different, but I pray that the answer will come to you. Blessings, Tammi
