  1. The WannaBe Ebook series is free on Educents right now. It is for Grades 3-7 and is normally $98.45. There is Christian content. I haven't used these so am not sure how much. They look cool to me, so I thought some of you might be interested. http://www.freehomeschooldeals.com/homeschool-freebies-old-schoolhouse-wannabe-series-valued-98-45/
  2. It doesn't give an age but this is the description on the publishers webpage: "A gentle introduction to grammar and composition for students in the elementary grades, teaching the eight parts of speech, punctuation, and sentence and paragraph writing. Writing exercises are in cursive and print. Answer key in the text."
  3. Homeschool Giveaways is offering a coupon code to get Sheldon's New Primary Language Lessons for free if you are an email subscriber. http://homeschoolgiveaways.com/2014/01/subscriber-free-sheldons-new-primary-language-lessons/
  4. Write them again and explain what they did. They'll make it right. I've dealt with them quite a bit and have been really impressed with their customer service.
  5. The coupon code mentioned earlier on this page is still working. The email I got didn't specify an expiration date.
  6. Homeschool share has a free France Lapbook and a bunch of book unit studies that are based in France. http://www.homeschoolshare.com/country_france.php http://www.homeschoolshare.com/connections__europe.php
  7. Amanda has a great France study. http://unitstudy.com/PassportFrance.html Her units have Christian content.
  8. One of my favorite bloggers just reviewed this program. She has a coupon code at the bottom of the page for $5 off any order. I am considering getting the 1st book. http://www.123homeschool4me.com/2014/01/learn-math-fast.html
  9. Does anyone know what was revised in LLTL? Is the pre-revised still good? Thanks!!
  10. I got the complete Blue series for 1-3 it includes 19 booklets including multiplication, fractions, etc. My younger daughter will use the Gr 1. aspects for review. She has covered most of her Gr. 1 already. I will definitely look at the TOC's. Thanks for all your input, I appreciate it!
  11. I ended up getting the Blue Series grades 1-3 for only $31.92 because the Kagi store is having a 25% off sale. Grade 2 in the Light Blue is $28.50 after the sale. The Blue Series seemed like a better value for us. I'm going to be supplementing a lot too. I printed the recommended workbook order from the website. I'm excited!
  12. Thank you both, I decided to get the Blue series, thanks for the suggestion! We have lots of supplemental items, so I think I'll use them along with the blue series. Thanks for your help! Thank you, this post was so encouraging!! Thanks!! I printed a scope for the year. This will help a lot! Thanks for the suggestion. I think I'll get this too! I appreciate it!! You all have been so helpful, I am so thankful to each of you!! I am feeling much less panicked now. Thanks!
  13. She did great last year. I just dropped the ball this year. The first part of this year was very chaotic. I had both parents fly in to visit at separate times and I've felt like I've just been playing catch up ever since. Plus I am really not a math person. It's always been a major struggle for me. My husband really helped out with her Math last year. He's a math whizz but hasn't had as much time this year. We used a bunch of different resources last year, not one main curriculum. We've done math apps this year but not much else in regards to math.
  14. We are so behind in Math this year and it is all my fault. My daughter does the Seton test at the end of July which gives us 26 weeks to be prepped for it. Is it even possible to be fully prepped in 26 weeks? Thanks ahead of time.
  15. Has anyone bought these? What were your thoughts on them? Did you find them essential or not. Thanks!
  16. They are free to sign up for. I have bought group buys from them twice now. They were great. No issues at all. They also offer nice freebies at least twice a year , which is nice. They take Paypal which is something I really like.
  17. If I could move anywhere in the world it would be to British Columbia, Canada, probably on one of the smaller Islands near Vancouver Island. It is a gorgeous place!! I can do it easily though as I am a Canadian living in the US. I grew up in the greater Vancouver area. My husband (an American) lived in British Columbia for a long time when he was a teenager but didn't get his citizenship. Sadly he is not interested in going through the headache that is immigration. Vancouver Island is stunning. My Dad's best friend lives on Pender Island, it is gorgeous too. Vancouver area has mild weather but quite a bit of rain.
  18. Whoops a link would be helpful. :) http://www.knowledgequestmaps.com/Scratch-and-Dent-Sale.html . If you scroll down to the Map Trek book and CD it says: "The damaged stock is SOLD OUT, but we have some PERFECT books available at a discounted price of $39.95. (Reg $55)". They have other items on the above link that are also discounted.
  19. I bought these slowly and surely during sales, they were worth every cent. They are being offered free again. They are Christian units but there is lot's good ideas in them if you don't want the Christian aspect. http://www.freehomeschooldeals.com/educents-free-18-curiosity-files-educational-ebooks/
  20. The lapbook linked from A Journey Through Learning is not a free one. It costs $1. Below are the links to it. http://www.ajourneythroughlearning.net/malukiexqla.html http://www.currclick.com/product/76467/Martin-Luther-King-Express-%28Quick%29-Lapbook?manufacturers_id=166
  21. I am SO tempted by this sale. I wonder if it will make it to 50% off like it usually does?
  22. I'm surprised this website doesn't have a spam bot. Most forums I am on do. It gets rid of most of the spam.
