I worked with a Clyde King, I loved his name. Lois will always make me think of Superman. Ick. -
Baby names that have NO potential of ever being revived

This was what I was going to write. I worked as a nurses aide for years and took care of a couple of Goldies. I don't think Bubbles will ever come back. I've met two of those as well. I can't see Helga or Olga getting popular again. Or Virgil. My Uncle's name is Reginald although he goes by Reggie. I'm not sure that will ever get popular again. My Aunt is Tammy and Great Aunt is Bunty. I don't see either coming back. I can't see Barry for a boy getting popular again. I love a lot of the names people mentioned such as Eugene (was my Grandpa's name), Richard, Leland, Gregory, Darcy and although it isn't my favorite name, Henry is quite popular in the UK. -
For me what bothers me is that squeezing as much money as possible from their curriculum seems more important to the MOH company then spreading their message. I am on the SOTW Facebook group and I am so impressed with how encouraging they are of people who make free go alongs. Money doesn't seem to be their main focus at all.

I totally agree! I'm returning the Kindle book (I thought it was the whole book) and am going to keep my eye out for a used copy. This company seems too obsessed with profit to me. They harass anyone that makes free go along to go with their books and they charge so much for each part of their curriculum, whether it be book or supplement.

Nevermind, just realized this is Quarter One only. I read this doesn't include the student sheets but for this price I don't mind coming up with my own or finding resources online. I thought some of you might be interested too. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00L8COGVI/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00L8COGVI&linkCode=as2&linkId=HW5PY2JNHVYT7GW2&redirect=true&ref_=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl&tag=facebookhc-20

Teaching two history strands simultaneously
teeniebeenie6 replied to ljpisme's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
I truly don't think the order matters. I am beginning with US history and then going on to Middle Ages. I went to a private elementary school and they skipped around. It truly did not affect my comprehension. I loved history and still do. -

Roald Dahl books were magical to me when I was little. BFG and James and the Giant Peach were my favorites. -
I am so excited about Rainbow Horizons Publishing Inc.'s Canada units. I am a Canadian living in the US and Canadian resources are scarce. Their novels studies also look interesting. Their sister company is Classroom Complete Press. They have a bunch of interesting looking novel studies as well. I also got a unit on Arachnids.

Could you re-buy it for $0 and then re-buy it for a price. It mentions that you can do this when you check out at $0. I had a glitch on my iPad that put an item to zero and it said this. I went back and changed it to the cost I wanted before checking out. WOr you could check for $0 and just buy another thing from the seller and put the price you wanted for the item you got for zero. I am curious what you got. :)

Did you look at the product samples? The link for the samples are under the picture. I haven't used these yet. I think I own one, I'll go look at it now and see what I think of it. ETA: I am really impressed with the Australia one we own. It is really full and pretty. The Antarctica one is OK, doesn't look near as nice as the Australia one.

Spam reported. I was kind of glad this post was brought up though because I am dealing with this now. Does anyone know if the apple cider vinegar treatment or banana one would be safe while pregnant? I am 22 weeks pregnant and have some annoying plantar warts on the bottom of my foot. My Dr. wouldn't treat them because I am pregnant. He said he wanted to use some sort of medicine used for chemotherapy after I give birth. I plan on nursing after giving birth so I don't think I'll be able to treat them after either. It is really annoying.
