Is it still a no-no to wear a different color jean jacket from the color of your jeans? Say a white denim jacket with blue jeans. I have a blush color jacket that I love but almost never wear because when I wear pants, I'm usually wearing blue jeans.

Me three. Same reasons.

No, KY, eventually. Three brothers served in the Revolution and earned a large land grant there. So while they had land and the community that eventually grew up there (Ellisburg) was named after the family, they were never well off.

My favorite log cabin quilt. Another beginner friendly quilt. Another one.

My family came to America as indentured servants. So better off than the enslaved and never wealthy enough to own anyone past the time of their service to their master. No one further down the genealogy line did, either.

Do people doing colonoscopy prep ever fast simultaneously?
stephanier.1765 replied to Ginevra's topic in The Chat Board
To all you Suprep people, thank you for that information. I'm definitely requesting that next time because my last time I spent a full week following my colonoscopy sick. I don't even know how they managed my colonoscopy because I was still running to the bathroom while I in the waiting room. At that point, it was just water but still...yuck. -

Same for me. I was just at my doctor's yesterday where I had to do a urine test. They don't do it exactly every so many months, I guess so you can't anticipate it, but I had a feeling it was due and loaded up on liquids ahead of time. LOL Too many times, I've got there and had a difficult time giving a specimen. But it is between every 3-6 months like @sweet2ndchance said. They want to make sure you are taking them and not dealing them. For the longest time, my pharmacy treated me like an addict but they've stopped now that they've gotten to know me. Good thing because I dreaded going. -

I just saw your post and scanned through the rest hoping desperately for an update. I thoughts are with you all. -
Definitely, wash it. That it'll get rid of any grime that might keep the paint from adhering. If it has a glossy finish, I'd still do a sanding just to break that up even if the paint says you don't need to. It doesn't need a "get down to the wood" type sanding but enough that your paint will have something to grab onto. I paint with a brush because I don't have a sprayer so you can do it either way. Recently, I was painting cabinets (with a cabinet paint) that were a dark color, so I did prime those since I was painting them white. However, I have chalk painted other furniture without that step and they still look great years later.

Timing always has to stink, doesn’t it?

I've gone through that and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I am so sorry! Forget everything else and focus on you...well, and the rat beast too.❤️ -
We were so far out of totality that odd animal behavior was no where on my radar. One cat, who is heart and soul my DH's (who is home today), spent the entire time climbing on and off my lap, following me around the house and acting super skittish. The other 4 kitties, while mostly acting like their normal selves, skipped their afternoon naps and spent that time staring out various windows. Considering how far away we were from events, it did get twilight kind of dark here so maybe it was messing with their internal clocks. I'd love to hear if your animals were up to anything unusual today.

That's amazing! A lot of hard work and long hours for him and the family. What a nerve wracking and exciting time for your family.

Have you tried Kraft American cheese? I live in the south and, even though I'm not a grit eater, Kraft seems to be the go to for other things so that might be it.

Companies are small printing us to death. With all the legal jargon, who can understand what some of it even says. It's gotten ridiculous. If there is something I need to be aware of, get to the point and be succinct about it. -

BTW, just yesterday I saw an article about a kitten with 4 ears. Your 4 kitten names would be perfect for this guy. -

S/o- cooling memory foam mattress topper for hip pain

About a year ago, I bought a 3 inch one from Target when it was on sale. It does help with keeping me cool at night and it came with its own cover that's washable. The downside is that I can't use a heating pad or electric blanket while it's on the bed. I do miss being able to use a heating pad on my particularly bad pain days but I don't have anything to replace it with so I skipped the electric blanket this winter and use the heating pad while sitting in my chair. -
I don't but I've often wondered. When I was a kid, I had a virus that resulted in me being unable to walk and to have extreme pain in my legs, so I've wondered if that might be the cause. It could be just the way I'm built. I do a lot of stretches to try and relieve it but, honestly, I don't think it does any good. I'm sorry you suffering from pain there, as well. 😞
-
Thank you for your reply. Calf high socks hadn't even been on my radar but since my calves are almost always tight and painful regardless of stretching, these are tempting just to see if they would help with that. Total win/win with helping with hot feet, as well. Those lime green ones are super tempting since people comment on my florescent pink shoes all the time. The two together would definitely make sure no one runs me over. LOL
-
The calf part of the sock doesn't make your legs hot? How forgiving is the calf because I've been blessed with the larger than average calf? LOL
-
I'd love to here what you think after you giving them a work out. I found some on Amazon with almost the same description but I swear they are hotter than my wool ones. 🤦♀️
-
I haven't. I've got thicker ones that I used until it got too hot but not the thin ones. I saw some Bombas merino wool running socks at Marshals that are thinner than the ones I have now. At the time, I didn't want to even spend the Marshall price for Bombas but now I'm desperate and ready to fork out the money, so I'm glad to see your suggestion. That makes me feel better about taking a chance on them.
