  1. I am so sorry you and your family are going through this. Yes, it is much better to err on the side of too soon than too late. From what you've described, it is time. Again, I am so incredibly sorry! This is such a hard thing to do but it will be the last best act of love you can do for her.
  2. I second this. It's not a holiday at our house without spinach artichoke dip.
  3. When a Costco opened up 5 minutes from my house, I was practically the first person in line to purchase a membership. Gas, toilet paper, paper towels, clothes...love the price on them all, however I wouldn't go an hour away to get there. I wouldn't go 30 minutes away where one opened years before mine did. But I live in an area where anything outside of a 5 or 10 minute drive is out of the way. One of my son's lives in an area where everything is at least 30 minutes away, so it really depends on what you are comfortable driving. If an hour is reasonable for your family, then absolutely keep it. I love Costco.
  4. I've had multiple with triggers but once I had gotten up out of bed to go pee and when I stood up I passed out. Once I woke up, my back hurt so much I couldn't stand. So did I hurt my back when standing, had I hurt it earlier in the day when I was putting litter in the litter boxes, did I stand up too fast, or was it none of these things? I just don't know. The mystery never revealed itself. I do hope you find the reason because it can be scary never knowing when it could happen again.
  5. I did but the ones in the living areas of the house are nicer and similar to the art in the rooms. Not the same but complimentary.
  6. We're a beach loving family so I have lots of great pictures of the kids over the years playing on the shore. What I did was intermingle some of my favorites with the beach art on my walls. I never tire of seeing those pictures. I even have some on a bathroom wall that's opposite the mirror, so every time I brush my teeth I get to see my kids right there behind me.
  7. I think it's been 20ish years for me too and probably why I'm still here. This is the first place I go to decompress, to ask advice, and occasionally have some of my own to give.
  8. I don't have any help to offer and I hope there is a logical explanation but I would be nervous too. Hopefully you can get it figured out quickly.
  9. Oh absolutely less body hair. I look as if I have no eyebrows left. Also fewer eyelashes, and while I also shave my legs every day, there wouldn't be much there if I didn't. It's only because I do have some sparse growth that I continue to shave. And while this is way too much information, there is less pubic hair as well. I can't believe I just wrote that on a public forum. LOL But at least if anyone else is experiencing the same thing, they'll know they aren't alone.
  10. Yep, me too. Also liked your post in solidarity. I'm presently actively trying to lose weight so I'm loathe to get rid of the smaller size but my clothes I wear now are a tad too tight so I'm also loathe to buy any new ones. The only thing I've bought in the larger size is activewear but I usually buy activewear a size larger any way, so at least I have those to wear around the house for comfort.
  11. Me too. All my life I've been pear shaped but these days I look pregnant if I don't wear a more fitted style that helps narrow that extra bulk. Now I consider myself potato shaped.
  12. I'm Gigi because my great grandmother was Gee Gee and she was the best. It feels like I'm honoring her.
  13. I've often thought there needs to be a "Getting Old for Dummies" book.
  14. I need a sweat proof sunscreen for exercising out of doors and for yard work. I especially need recommendations for my face but it wouldn't hurt to get recommendations for the body, either. I'm already sweating so much that getting my clothes changed is a chore, so I'm desperate for something that can work through all that.
  15. No fees or at our credit union either. We've been there for over 35 years and have always been pleased with their services.
  16. Target for me also because she can browse and I find it easier to buy items I'm unfamiliar with when I can see and touch them.
  17. For those to be the first words he said in answer to the question...well, it frankly made my heart overrun with joy.
  18. I agree with @Jaybee, he is such a handsome young made with the sweetest of faces. Happy Birthday to him and may he have the best of days. Grandchildren really are the best thing in the world.
  19. Except for the brand of toothpaste, this is me exactly. Every time I go for a cleaning, my hygienist says there wasn't much for her to do, so this routine is definitely working for me too.
  20. I'm not sure, but it will let me know whenever anything in my cart or my wishlist goes down in price. If I set a notification, it has been so long that my poor old brain can't remember. I'm getting the notifications through Alexa so maybe that's how it works. I'm terrible at this sort of thing. If I wanted Alexa to stop notifying me, I'd likely not be able to find it either. I'm so sorry I wasn't any help. 😞
  21. I ordered it yesterday and, hopefully, it will be here today. Luckily, I had put it in my wishlist so I wouldn't forget which brand to try, so Amazon gave me a heads up when the price went down. I can't wait to try it.
  22. I just finished Everything Sad is Untrue and is my favorite book so far this year. It's writing style is unique and it kept me fully engaged to where I didn't want to put it down. It's one of those books you think about even when you aren't reading it. It's free on Kindle Unlimited.
  23. One of mine was helping herself to my oatmeal this morning. She will also steal a potato skin right off a plate and run away with it. Carnivores, bah!
  24. That was fast! Weren't we just on baby watch with you yesterday? But my goodness, is that one handsome little dude! Truly sweetness on two tiny feet. My favorite age too.
  25. That stinks. I can understand it from the company's point of view but, if the pain is supposed to last a lifetime, they shouldn't have anything to worry about. I'm glad you were able to get that one replacement, though.
