  1. Both of my boys did the same thing....so I had to dedicate an entire week to staying home and letting them be naked the whole time before it "clicked" with them. (I only put a pullup on at night time...and then took those away a couple of months later) Maybe that will help???
  2. I had a dog that had to where one of those :D They are called a "belly band" He was a timid dog who lifted his leg to mark on everything in the house. So we kept one on him to stop him from ruining our furniture. And sometimes when a dog marks a lot, people will put a pad inside to soak it up. So although I understand the belly band part....I still can't believe she asked you to throw it away! That's definitely gross!
  3. I don't know much about World Vision, but have been sponsoring a child through Compassion for about a year now. The thing I like the most about it, is they encourage you to build a relationship with your child. Writing them letters, sending pictures, sending gifts, etc. I also sponsor a child through our churches "sister" church in the DR and they don't do much of that. So I've really appreciated how Compassion does that. (although World Vision may be the same :)) I know that wasn't much help in comparing the two, but I thought I'd just let you know I've been happy with Compassion :D
  4. I can't say "armoire" either :D OR "ridiculous."
  5. Wow...I just read the thread and it seems like every other post was deleted :tongue_smilie:
  6. I would be sooooo mad! I sure hope you say something to your youth pastor and let him know how upset you are about it...
  7. Is it possible to post a picture so we can have a better idea of whats going on?
  8. LOL! Nope...here they need to be chewed on...hard. :leaving: And reading everyone's lists of weirdness is reminding me of so much more of my own! I don't think I realized how weird I was until just now! LOL -can't put on shoes without shaking them out -can't climb in bed without checking sheets and walls for spiders -can't wash my face in the shower without taking a look at the drain and making sure nothing is crawling out of it -have a routine when taking a shower, putting on lotion, and putting on makeup -cannot even THINK of sitting on a toilet if there is a closed shower curtain in the bathroom! (because you never know who's behind it!) -I rub the inside of my pinky finger on my upper lip when reading :001_huh: -love the smell of old books and new real wood pencils -cannot eat the last bite of my food...feels weird taking that last bite out of my hand (I call those last bites my "butts" and all my friends know I don't eat my "butts" LOL) I have to change what side I'm sleeping on every time I get up. If I wake up on my left side I HAVE to lay back down on my right. (think this has to do with my "even-ness" thing I've got going on) -chewy plastic in my mouth makes me gag...horribly. I can't even blow up my kids water wings I know there's more I'm missing! :D ETA: I also can't let my feet hang off the bed in fear of something grabbing them. When I was a kid I use to make "deals" with the mosters under my bed. For example: they were only allowed to eat me if I had both feet and my right arm hanging off the bed at the same time. hahaha
  9. Me too!!! I have this urge to chew on them! Like, literally take a bite and chew on them! LOL!
  10. Mine is just my first name...not very creative at all :tongue_smilie:
  11. I always order pepperoni pizza and then pick off the pepperonis. People think I'm weird but it flavors the cheese! :tongue_smilie:
  12. You could always sleep with panty hose on your head...like that episode of Raising Hope!
  13. Hahaha! Me too! AND when I am coming up the stairs by myself at night...I always run up them (as if someone is behind me) I also have this weird "need to be even" thing going on. If someone comes up to me and slaps me on one arm, they better be slapping me on the other! LOL! Otherwise I feel all uneven. Drives me crazy :D Oh, and I love my fries dipped in a chocolate shake! :tongue_smilie:
  14. Is the bird hurt? Do you know where the nest is? If it's not hurt, and you know where the nest is, I would find a towel and gently pick him up and put him back. I have heard of people making a fake nest (when the real one is out of reach) and placing the baby bird in there...and then watching to see if the parents come to feed it. If non of that is possible, there should be a wildlife rehab center you could call. HTH :001_smile:
  15. Loved it...thanks for sharing! :001_smile:
  16. Awe congratulations...It's a beautiful ring!!!
  17. I'm only 2 years in, but I LOVE LOVE it! Of course there are days when I want to pull my hair out, but I still have no intentions on ever sending them to ps! I went into it thinking it was a temporary thing, until we moved to a better school system. But I fell in love with it :tongue_smilie:I love being the one to teach them, to see them learn, to learn right along side them, and I love spending my days with them! I would be bored out of my mind if they were in school all day :)
