  1. I found this set called Supreme 90 Day System at bed Bath and Beyond for $19.99...I was even able to use my 20% off coupon to get it cheaper! It has 10 discs and employs the same 'muscle confusion' technique as P90X...you do need various dumbbells and an exercise ball. I attempted the chest and shoulder workout today and it was good and tough...just thought I'd share...I'm going to be sore tomorrow!! Here's the official website to get info, but go to Bed Bath and Beyond to save shipping and get an extra 20% off...or if you have one of those $5 off coupons, even better :) https://www.supreme90day.com/
  2. Wow! Did you stay home the entire time or wait it out elsewhere? So glad you have power again...ours was out but only for about 16 hours...
  3. Totally Toddler spray really works...it has enzymes to remove the smell/stain and smells like baby powder...I've purchased mine at Babies R us and Walmart.
  4. I made this last week for the 1st time...my kids went wild and have declared they'd like a Chipoltle nite' weekly. We line up tortillas, the rice, homemade tomato salsa, black beans, mexican seasoned chicken, and shredded cheese...yum!!!
  5. I'd love to hear input too as P90X is not feasible for me right now...hoping you get a ton of responses :)
  6. I just grilled up 20# of chicken and browned 20# of ground beef (before I knew the storm was coming--just to make life easier during school)but if the power goes out, I won't want to open the freezer...so canned goods it is:tongue_smilie:
  7. We are stocked with water, fridge and freezer are stocked too but this does us no good if the power goes out. What staples would you have on hand to keep the family nourished in such an event? There are 8 of us...all but 2 are big eaters...any ideas? We have a propane grill but anything I'd cook would be in the fridge except for maybe soup or canned beans etc... Would love to hear what others are doing!! Thanks!
  8. Thanks for taking the time to respond,Jennifer! 9:30 is awesome!!! My friend will attempt running this week so we'll see :) Your explanation was very helpful...how long does Insanity take? Is it a step up from P90X? Thanks again!! Kathi
  9. Which half are you doing? I'm doing Detroit in October. Insanity will definitely help your running. A LOT!!!! I don't know many other BB workouts. I've done Insanity, Asylum and most of P90X (I quit that when Insanity came in the mail!). I am hoping to run the Philly HM on Nov 20th...my running partner sustained an ankle sprain during a run 2 weeks ago so we are waiting to register..she has not begun to run yet~ I'm curious how the Insanity workout has helped your running...I am concerned about overtraining and injuring myself not to mention mantainining balance with my time of homeschooling 4 youngers and keeping up with 2 highschoolers etc...I'd love to hear your experience :) Thanks so much!!
  10. Wow Jennifer...6 days a week...I'm impressed :) I just started trg for a HM as well and I need to incorproate strength training but in the past when I have done 30 day Shred in addition to running, I felt like I was pushing it and possibly risking an injury as my shins were sooo sore and affected my run the next day. I did do the Nordic Track last week for cross trg-that seems doable...Pilates always seems like a safe bet since it is all core work on the floor. I've wanted to do Beachbody for awhile as my upper body is in need of strengthening ...any other Beach Body alternatives instead of P90X and Insanity?? Thanks for any thoughts you might have!
  11. Thanks! I'll have to check our that site too!
  12. Thanks so much for your responses...this really does help me understand it. I was a paper scrapbooker for a few years and then as our family grew it just became too daunting. Being able to do a few pages at a time makes sense too....hmm lots to consider. Our 2 adopted children will be home 5 years this December and I know it would bless them so much to have an album like their siblings have.(yes, it has been at least 5 yrs since I've worked on paper albums!) So maybe, I could get them an actual album at AC Moore with 40 or 50% off ...do the 8X8 pages and present it to them then. Doing a few pages a month would be more affordable too....I could just go to the freebie website's for page layouts save them and print when prints are on sale. I am not a costco member...but we have CVS,Walgreens,Walmart, and RiteAids nearby....do they do the larger pages(8X8) too? Thanks all for helping me think!! Blessings, Kathi
  13. Thanks for the explanation. So you can take your pages, have them printed (at CVS/places that print photos?) and put them in a regular 12X12 album sleeve? How much does it cost to print up a page? Just trying to figure out which is most cost effective. I was a bit stifled by the layout and text options in Snapfish but made do since it was a buy1 get 2 free deal;) I do like to write a bit more text than was afforded in the Shutterfly and Snapfish options.
  14. Okay, I'm confused...what's the difference between digital scrap-booking and using a service like Shutterfly/Snapfish? If it's no less expensive, why do some of you choose this instead? Thanks!!
  15. I posted a few weeks ago asking for advice regarding how to download a blog to book form and which companies you recommend for making photo books... well, I have since ordered 2 from Snapfish and 1 from shutterfly. They turned out beautifully(I'm hooked!) but they are somewhat costly to make-even with great coupons!!...how does digital scrapbooking work? I saw one on Smilebox that is free to use the backgrounds etc but I don't understand how to print it out...how does one do this and how much does it cost? Do any of you own a digital program? How do you make your bks and how much does it cost for an 8X11 20 page book? Do all of the companies charge for shipping like Snapfish does (it was almost $15!)? Any advice appreciated! Thanks!! Kathi
  16. I'm not sure about downloading my blog to them...I switched gears and I actually am just doing memory books right now from various vacations and the 1st 5 yrs of having our kiddos home. Thanks for the details on your book though:)
  17. I am awaiting my book from Shutterfly and I just got an email from Snapfish for buy1 get 2 books free...but the books will start at $25 How much did your Blurb book cost and how many pages was it? Just trying to compare :) Thanks!! Kathi
  18. wow, I don't know how I missed this in the news...what a horrible thing to have to live through. I'm so glad the Lord has blessed them with another little one to love and cherish in the days ahead.
  19. I'm hoping you get some answers since I'm putting an order in tonight too;)
  20. I love our Ashley furniture...it was reasonably priced and i think well made...we have counter stools, kitchen chairs, and our bedroom furniture...the one in our area just moved to a bigger showroom so I'm hoping they'll stick around :)
