  1. I had the hardest time deciding between a Kindle and a Nook. I thought I was finally settled on the Kindle - but then changed my mind and went with a Nook (not the color one.) I love it. I can't believe how much I love it.
  2. Yep - DH & I go to the same Dr. She's great. Where we lived before (for 19 years) our whole family went to the same Dr. We miss him a lot. My Mother still sees him. I know my parents health histories quite well. I'd say DH knows his parents moderately well.
  3. Mine take: Nature's Plus Animal Parade Kid's Multi Nature's Plus AP Kid Greenz Nature's Plus AP AcidophiKidz And when I remember, Coromega Omega-3 Fish "pudding." ;)
  4. :iagree: Oh, my. Well, that right there would be enough for me to want to try to back away my daughter from spending too much time with that family. I am wondering what types of things your daughter might be hearing over there.
  5. Psychedelic Furs (got to see them with OMD in concert....), Violent Femmes.... (and I must confess....I was a huge fan of the S3x Pistols, too.....) I still love The Pogues. They are my all time favorite. My Ipod is full of The Pogues....
  6. Very interesting discussion. But - just jumping in here as an Archaeologist to say that this bit isn't particularly accurate.
  7. Neither have I. My oldest dd wants to name her first son Liam - she adores that name.
  8. Yes. Me. We use a secular curriculum. We didn't chose to homeschool for religious reasons at all.
  9. Nope. I had my nails done once, when I was getting married.
  10. I picked "drop hints" but if that didn't get any results, I would NOT change my Anniversary Plans - especially if I am understanding your timeline correctly.
  11. I hate it with a fiery passion. (oldest dd - now 21 - was using that in the charter school she was in before we took her out of school in 4th grade. We got it and figured we would just continue with it. I hated it. She hated it. Dh hated it for us, too.;) ) We have used lots of Math programs over the years. Never even considered going back to Saxon for the other children.
  12. Oh, the "what ifs" are the worst. :grouphug: I can tell you, that I know of women who have taken Zoloft during their pregnancies with no ill effects. It was one of the reasons I agreed to try Zoloft instead of some other SSRI. And I have seen an improvement in my digestive issues (probably because I am not soaking my organs in adrenaline all the time {blush!!} my doc had said that some people have issues, and with my IBS-D she was somewhat concerned about that, but it has not been an issue (and I was sure it was going to be, of course....) Zoloft didn't make me drowsy at all (Xanax did when I started that - it took about a week before I stopped needing an afternoon nap - but I am now on 2mg a day (spread over the day) and it doesn't make me sleepy at all (and I can take an extra if I am in a particularly stressful situation.)
