  1. I tried this for a while with my ds. I used the lists from Natural Speller. I made a worksheet for each day of the week. Day 1: copy list in print, then cursive Day 2-4: One activity sheet each day. word shapes, word search, word scramble, etc. Day 5: Test -- any missed words had to be copied 3x.
  2. Start him in ILL. I use the Hillside Edition and there is no Teacher guide, just an answer key.
  3. Yes! Thank you for bringing it back to the top! :)
  4. I've got a whole list of CM blogs on the side bar of my homeschool blog. (http://livingstonechristian.blogspot.com)
  5. Right now my dd is doing ILL 3-4 times per week. Written narration for history 2-3 times per week. She's also in the process of writing a 2 page (handwritten) report for TN History at Co-op. I plan to do more after Christmas, but I don't know what yet!
  6. The code is: 317172cgkjfg The first 3 people who check out with it get to use it.
  7. It can only be used 3 times by Nov 1, so I guess it's first come first serve. 317172cgkjfg ETA: Free shipping on orders over $35.00
  8. Your 11 and 9 year olds should be able to do most of the readings on their own. The most "work" will be with your 6 year old. Y1 with my ds7 doesn't take a lot of time per day. If I sat down and did it all at once... maybe 30 minutes and that includes phonics. Not math though.
  9. MUS sent a message out on Facebook that they were having problems with the main site, but that the store still works.
  10. I have that one also.... and I haven't used it yet either. I'm trying to fit it into the schedule! :001_huh:
  11. We are on week 5 of Year 1. (My olders aren't doing AO.) We're loving it! I did buy all of the books. As soon as I get my Kindle :drool5: I may sell most of them and just use the eBooks.
  12. Flip Flop French is sorta like SSL. http://www.currclick.com/product_info.php?products_id=22212&it=1
  13. That's my daughter. :) My son is doing TT also. He's very good at math. I'm having him do 2 lessons a day for now. I'm not sure if we will continue through High School, but right now it's working for us.
  14. I'm doing MOH 2 with my 5th and 4th grader. My 2nd grader is doing Ambleside Online. If he were doing history with the older kids I'd probably add SOTW readings & AG for him, just to simplify HIS history learning experience.
  15. I couldn't make myself use the hardback. We have the Hillside Edition and we are LOVING PLL and ILL.
  16. I know you specifically asked about TOG, but have you looked at TruthQuest? It definitely adds the Biblical aspect AND it schedules SOTW and many other wonderful "spines." The younger children could JUST do SOTW and the olders could use SOTW with TruthQuest.
  17. My daughter had it bad a few years ago. My Pediatrician recommended the Cetaphil method. Tea Tree Oil did nothing for us. I had been using Denorex shampoo at the time and I never got the lice... even though all of the kids ended up with them. Also, I agree on the Metal comb.
  18. I had tried MOH 1 when my oldest were that young and I just couldn't make it work. There are plenty of moms that have no problems making it work. You can print a few sample lessons and see if it might be too much. I've never used Biblioplan, but it uses SOTW (which is awesome for that age) and integrates Bible History.
  19. You're welcome. MFW CtG does an EXCELLENT job at integration. I used it for 10 weeks or so. I only quit because I can't keep up with Unit Studies for some reason. :) Anyway, you may want to look at Mystery of History. We are doing v.2 this year and we are LOVING it. Bible integration is AWESOME. For what it's worth, I wish I could do last year over again and do MOH 1.
