  1. Thanks for that awesome list! I've looked through them all separately, but never put them together. Awesome!
  2. Harmony Fine Arts is a great program! We've used it for a few years :)
  3. You might try to find Fairy Poems For the Very Young by Beverlie Manson. It's got 20+ poems in it of varying length. It illustrations are ok... not my favorite though. It's a compilation. If you can't find it, I could post the table of contents and you might be able to find the poems individually.
  4. We have an HP Photosmart C4750. We bought it about a year ago and it was served us very well. Prints on regular paper, cardstock, etc. Copies and scans. Ink refills are reasonably cheap, depending on where you get them.
  5. I just picked up North American and the World as a set from Costco. My just turned 8 yo dd can do them easily, her younger brother, about to turn 6, has more trouble.

We will be memorizing the following this year: Presidents Preamble to the Constitution State and Capitals Various poems I found this book, that I have not read yet, that might have more ideas - Free book on Lulu
  7. Neither of my kids turned out curly like me, but I've never used shampoo on their hair. I use conditioner about once a week and brush daily. My daughter has long hair, almost waist length and my son did also up until recently.
  8. That is exactly why we switched from Colville to Valley. It is a huge pet peeve of mine that the rules are different between districts and ATs. Being in Valley has been so much nicer this year.
  9. I haven't planned more than a year ahead, but now I feel the need to.
  10. My dd has completed levels 1 & 2 and is halfway through 3 and my ds has completed level 1. In my experience: #1 - I only dictate the phrases that have words I think they need more practice on. So, some lessons I don't give them any phrases. They have never had a phrase with a word they could not spell. #2 - We haven't had any difficulties with steps, but I would continue working it each day if we did. We wouldn't move on until mastery had been achieved. #3 - We can review all the phonograms and the key cards in 2 - 3 minutes. I review the key cards each week and all the phonograms once a month or so. The phonograms should be mastered before you have moved on to other steps, so reviewing them should go very quickly.
  11. We just finished up most of that curriculum. I was able to find almost all of the books locally. Which ones are you looking for?
  12. The only other product I used that isn't on the list are all 3 collections of BOB books.
  13. "Our hen must have lots of golden eggs inside her." I never learned parts of speech in school and am learning right along with the kids. :)
  14. I did a search and couldn't find any errata for FLL level 1 on these forums or elsewhere on the web. My children just completed lesson 37, in which there were finding nouns in a paragraph from the previous lesson. My daughter listed "inside" as a noun, since it is a place, but the answers don't list "inside" as a noun. Input?
  15. Hi. I'm new to the forums, hopefully no one minds if I jump right in here. I'm on book #43 for the year. I haven't written reviews of them, but I keep a notebook by my bed to write the title in when I'm finished it. It helps me not reread too many books. Right now I'm finishing up a fun, light read: Shakespeare Undead by Lori Handeland. This is the 3rd based-on-the-life-of-Shakespeare book I've read this year, seems to be a theme for me.
  16. We've used the file folder games from Integritas Academy as well as lots of games from Family Math by Jean Kerr Stenmark.
  17. Seconding this. Both my kids have done great with this program.
  18. Ours arrived yesterday, too. The bottom left-hand corner is a bit folded up, but nothing is missing from it. Now to make wall space for it.
