  1. DH says that he would shave his goatee if his daughter wanted it for her wedding. It's just hair and it grows back. Of course, they have him tied around their pinkies. Lol Really it is up to your dh. If he is opposed to it or not. He plays a bigger role in the wedding than the father of the groom would. When I first read it, I thought it was the future dil that wanted him to shave, and I thought "no way!" but, for the daughter, then yes. Of course, I have no idea what kind of relationship they have.
  2. Would anyone have an Amazon baby coupon code that they are not using? I'm trying to help out my SIL with diapers and wipes. These codes are found in various baby magazines. I can try to return the favor, or pay it forward. Thanks in advance!!
  3. Ven pcworld mag had an article on hacking your iPhone/iPad. I looked it up, and even if you hack it and then need to get it fixed And it's still under warrantee, all you have to do is reset it to factory standards. As long as you didn't brick it when you hacked it. I'm not going to do it, because I am not familiar with it, and I like my iPad too much to take the risk. But, there are a TON of resources online to find out how to do it and how to fix it if something goes wrong. Just google it. Lol
  4. I weaned my youngest when she was almost 2 1/2 years old. I had to put bandaids on the ni**les and tell her that I had ouchies, and she couldn't nurse. She was old enough to understand what I was saying. It took a couple days of her asking and wanting to see the bandaids (they helped her "see" the ouchie lol). After that, I just needed to tell her that they had ouchies, and she couldn't have them anymore. It lasted maybe a week, and she was weaned. She didn't nurse enough for me to be uncomfortable with quitting so suddenly like that. Weird, but it worked for us. ;)
  5. Here is a credit to another life that may be saved by this post. Our neighbor has a pit bull. Because of reading this, I will never take my cat out in the front yard. I sympathize With you since we also have a cat that is unique and a huge part of our family. I pray you and your family will find peace.
  6. IMO it is too soon to worry. But OTOH, think of what you can do with an extra pinky! Did you put any type of antibacterial ointment on it? Bandaid? Even though it is in a weird place, you should try to keep it clean, since under fingernails is a yummy place. :001_huh:
  7. Dd was on prednisone, but she took it in the morning so she would be able to sleep at night. I have to limit her inhaler use at night as well.
  8. Sounded intersecting, until I saw that you have to have a bachelors degree already.
  9. What about a loop schedule? I don't use one, but innate read about them here. It works by setting a list of subjects and getting them done in order. If the daynis up, but you haven't gotten them all done then you start with the next subject the next day. Do a search and you can find more information about it. But I agree with other posters about cutting the time of each subject down to a bearable amount. If he whines after 30 min of spelling, cut it down to 15-20, then gradually add more time so he is at 30 minutes by the first grade. Since he is a young K-er keep that in mindnehe. You figure his grade level. I think he is doing great for his age, but it is YOUR sanity you need to worry about :)
  10. Hahahaha! I'm on a cat video binge! That one and the whack a kitty video lol Thanks!
  11. I used the 2010 LA K, LA 1, and LA 2 I. I didn't really care for them, but I don't know if it is because of their approach to LA or what. I like how they have everything included with it, like spelling, copywork, etc, but their approach was not what worked for us.
  12. How about a Harry Potter robe, since my last idea wasn't so popular. lol http://www.amazon.com/Rubies-Costume-Co-888337-Potter/dp/B003ES5RM6
  13. My dh's first guess was nazi. Here is one picture. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/cf/Neo-nazi.jpg/800px-Neo-nazi.jpg Not exactly a black hood, but he knew the Nazi colors. We are researching some more. I really wouldn't want it to be that, but at least they're not your permanent neighbors!
  14. The list didnt have mine as closing, but I just got an email saying that it is closing and to come in for the sales. I hope they still accept borders bucks, since I have some coming in.
  15. http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/store_access.do?template_type=storefronts&landing=printer&lanAttr=HP+ePrint&category=Yes&catLevel=1 Here are some printers on sale at HP. They have the e-print features. You also get a $50 gift card with purchase of some of them. Try the laser printers since the toner lasts a lot longer than ink.
  16. I've never heard that a tubal will cause weight gain since there are no hormones involved in the procedure. As long as you are sure about not having children, then a tubal would be a good option.
  17. Now, to figure out how to use it with the program. Those don't seem to be in any sort of order. Thank you!
  18. Oh, I HAVE the books, I would just like a game or online resource to reinforce the spelling. They seem to forget the easier ones if they are not done again and again.
  19. I heard that there is an online spelling site that has the word lists from sequential spelling. I tried a search, but couldnt find it. Does anyone have a link? Thanks!
  20. And if you call me asking for a person that had this number before.... Do NOT ask me if they still live with me, if I know where they are at now and when they moved. The phone number is NOT attached to the house. Do not call me and ask if you may speak to the woman of the house, or ask to speak to my mom :glare: ( although, if it is in person, feel free to think I am too young to be a mom lol ) Do not hang up on your wife because someone else is calling, but NOT answer your call waiting when she is calling.... Don't say "I'm gonna let you go.." when it is YOU that are wanting to go.
