Hi LB, I have had the ped office tell me to alternate every 2 hours between Advil and Tylenol to get fevers down. It has been years since I have had to do this but I do remember it helping. Hope she gets better soon. Btw, the paranoia in me would take her to the ER, especially since there would be NO WAY I would get any sleep until I knew for sure.:grouphug:

I am now kicking myself for not buying it back in April or May when it was on HSB.:glare:

Are your boys regularly out in this kind of heat playing? If so, they should be fine. However, many kids of this generation are not used to being out in extreme heat and cannot take it. I grew up here and GA, I know heat, but I would make darn sure my kids knew to stay hydrated and call me if they started feeling funny. We were at Disney last summer when the temps were over 100 with heat index over 110-it is very difficult to stay hydrated.

Thanks for the info! Dd would much prefer no extra writing! Prima Latina is what I was leaning towards. It is good to know that the DVD's are not necessary. It's good to know that it's mostly vocab. And thanks for the heads up that the DVD's take too much time!

Thank you!!! We are finishing up FLL 2 this summer and just started WWE. I love FLL, but since I haven't seen FLL3 and 4 I wanted to make sure that it was enough. We have jumped all over with different curriculums and I really just want to find one I can stick with for a while! We have used 2 grammar programs for the last 2 years and dd is about to strangle me!:tongue_smilie:

How many of you have average children and using Latin? What are the pros and cons of a foreign language at this age? My other 2 were public schooled and never had a foreign language until 6th grade. I have never taken Latin, is it possible to teach dd without having had it myself? What programs would you recommend? ANY info would be appreciated!

I have been trying to decide what to use for 3rd grade LA for dd. Are these 2 programs enough? Do I need to add anything other than spelling and reading for LA? I want to make sure this is strong enough because we will be testing at the end of 3rd grade per state requirements. Any info is greatly appreciated. And suggestions if you don't think it is enough!

We just bought a new HP Envy 100 D410 series a few months ago-LOVE IT. For most school printing I just bought a Brother HL-2270DW series since the toner lasts much longer than the ink for the HP. It really just depends on what you are wanting in your printer(and how much you want to spend).
