  1. I like BJU Heritage Studies. It does require you skimming over the TM, but it doesn't require alot of time for each lesson. You can get the student book, TM, tests, answer keys, and student notebook for about $75 plus free shipping at Christianbook.com.
  2. 73 or 74 in the summer. The back of our house faces the west with alot of windows and it usually gets to 77 in the house even set at 73/74. And of course its been in the mid to upper 90's for 10 days straight here with no letting up in sight. In the winter we set it at 72.
  3. I started to use A Beka 1 last year for my dd but decided to used Saxon(we were slow catching on and Saxon was easier) and I decided to sell all the flashcards, drill set, etc.. We have now caught up and will be using A Beka 2 in the fall and have now bought it all back(mostly used thank goodness). After using A Beka 1 this summer I believe they are needed, ESPECIALLY those that have "strongly recommended" beside them. Some people are different but I believe even the lesson plans are important because it teaches things not in the book. The flashcards don't have to be A Beka's, and I have bought the Charts and Games because I want to make sure I have everything I need.(don't know if you have to have it)
  4. We have a homeschool PE class where we live that dd goes to once a week. We also do karate year round 2x a week. And we usually have cheerleading a few months out of the year plus swimming during the summer. I have bought the Homeschool Physical Education Game Book that I plan on sitting down and looking at when I get a chance.:) I have skimmed thru it and it looks like it will have at least a few good games.
  5. I have purchased everything and then some. I will actually be selling some of the items I have purchased but decided not to use! Last year was my first year homeschooling and I continue to buy more than I need. I find it very difficult to decide what I want to use!
  6. LL Bean or Land's End! My dd loves her's, I bought it from LL Bean. I bought one when she was in middle school from Land's End and it lasted a few years but she is very hard on her stuff. They have different sizes for different ages if you want to check our their websites. Angel
  7. The Read and Share DVD Bible. We have Volume 1 and just bought volume 2. They are animated and have very short stories from the Bible(2-3 minutes). Angel
