personally I wouldnt go through the trouble of Legally changing his name. Surely he can find a nick name to introduce himself as.. Ty?? Or does he hav a middle name that he can go by?? I know lots of people that have nicknames that are totally different then their real names and that is what they refer to themself as. Im sure you can come up with something nice that he will like. Keep them in a pen. My SIL had them out at their house and let me tell you they destroy everything! they poop everywhere! they ate all her plants and flowers etc.. This spring she put them in a pen and her yard looks beautiful again.. no walking in chicken poop and her flowers are pretty again. I personally hate chickens they creep me out! lol

Im thinking something like a chart where she would earn allowance.. beng shes going to be 10.. and ive been teaching her $ but it would be good for her to earn it etc... Im not really stressed about having a perfect clean house all the time.. its more about teaching her ... ;)

Im wondering how everyone works a chore system in their households? Do you use charts/ rewards? my soon to be 10 yr old does some chores when i ask, but I would like to come up with some sort of schedule.. when we move into the new house and start homeschooling. She likes things neat and tidy so shes pretty good about doing things I ask , but Id like to have some sort of chart so I dont have to ask, just something that will be done. ? Thanks :D

Isnt it sad.. I regret not having more pictures of ME & my Daughter together.. I have very few! I was pretty good at taking lots of pics of her.. but never got many of us together.. and sad you cant go back :( If I were you Id buy a digital and carry it in your purse. Take lots of pics and you can sort through them later. Get yourself a Shutterfly account and upload there. I did this and then you can go back in your free time and make books or prints etc.. I dont have time for scrapbooking but I ve made a few books on shutterfly , its soo much easier and if they have sales you can get them for a decent price. Great way to store your memories in photo books! :D

I think the Golden Yellow with blue accents would be nice. Im going to use a pale blue in my bedroom.. I think its more serene and sleepy.. I like more lively colors for the other parts of the house.. Im using a yellow on my porch and a champagne in the living area.. and a vintage-y teal blue green in my kitchen. I definately think you need a brighter color for that area. Rug will make a huge difference also. :D Its paint.. you can always change it if you hate it! ;)

Im with you on this.. We are starting in Sept. 5th grade. She has a few more weeks of PS. Ive got mixed feelings as things wind down. But overall Im feeling the positives of HS at this point outweigh her PS. Im keeping an open mind and we will see how our first year goes. Im hoping that she can eventually go back to Private HS. But we have time to decide and we may end up totally loving our HS'ing Journey.. We will decide together as we venture through ... I think any kind of change is always difficult for some.. but just go into it with a mindset that nothing is ever set in stone! ;) Thats what Im doing.

:iagree: I know Im dealing with the same things..my business, college, flipping a house, my daughter & our new HS journey... I dont even know where this came from.. LOL.. Im sure it will pass in a few days.. lol ;) I couldnt possibly afford another child as a single parent anyway.. We are getting ready to move into our new little cottage, so that will be a big job.. ... then back to college and starting hs'ing in sept. Busy busy.. :D Actually I could probably just babysit for a day and then the thoughts would be gone for another 10 yrs LOL ;)

This just made me flash back to ...:D When we were kids my mother use to buy frozen concentrated juice and we would mix it with selzter... insta soda/juice... its really good, havent had it in years !

My daughter has had one for the past few years and she barely uses it. The only time she really uses it is for road trips.. Which is why she got it in the first place. Im not a big fan of video games.. so its all she has in that dept. ;) definately worth it for trips tho...:auto:
